Greetings from London UK where the Onn box is not available. I’ve just searched the Tivo stream 4K and that seems to be a nope too. I would probably go for a Xiaomi TV Stick 4k or indeed the Google Chromecast if I needed to replace my current 4k Firestick(s). My understanding (from AFTV news, April 17th, 2025) is that Android 14 is coming to future *Fire TVs* (see also AFTV news, Feb 6th, 2025). I think it would be wise of Amazon to also retain android on at least *one* version of the actual firestick going forward. But I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

Hi Triple M why you didn’t mention me Cool boxes or Minix streaming boxes

  3. @TRICK-OR-TREAT236 on July 17, 2025 at 7:23 pm

  4. @ZoEtheLoE-w2f on July 17, 2025 at 7:26 pm

Oh nah rack up on the old ones now 😂😂😂

  5. @jamesdees4752 on July 17, 2025 at 7:28 pm

I ain’t getting rid of my firestick, bruh!

  6. @John.Mcaffee on July 17, 2025 at 7:29 pm

Remember when Amazon forced indie devs to use their gdl Lumberyard then when devs spend millions to migrate in order to use AWS Amazon abandoned Lumberyard? Amazon is a flaky unintelligible people. They will end up losing market shares then running back to Android.

  7. @jamesdees4752 on July 17, 2025 at 7:32 pm

Will it change my fire sticks that are already jail broke? Can I continue to download 3rd party apps? That won’t change, right?

  8. @MegaBullshitChannel on July 17, 2025 at 7:33 pm

I use a chromecast ever since the first generation released. Never has let me down.

  9. @edw5208 on July 17, 2025 at 7:34 pm

Will my f stick I use now still work?

  10. @wealthbrokers on July 17, 2025 at 7:35 pm

too much trouble, just get mini pc

  16. @Crash385 on July 17, 2025 at 7:41 pm

Thanks for the video. I agree with your ONN 4k pro choice. I was also looking for a FS replacement and went this route via another video. I prefer a custom launcher and was able to sideload one with no issues. This is a good streaming replacement….

  17. @Circle_of_pain_666 on July 17, 2025 at 7:45 pm

One device is left n won’t update it as it blocks my apps. Till i get an alternative. So looking for sonething new.

  18. @faustini69 on July 17, 2025 at 7:46 pm

Would the update brick existing firesticks or would only newer firesticks be no longer android?

  19. @MegaGhool on July 17, 2025 at 7:47 pm

  20. @alivstyson1864 on July 17, 2025 at 7:49 pm

what about easy of download 3rd party apps ? what about remote lag ? what about storage space ? I hear Onn has VERY limited storage space like 3g vs 5g for amazon

  21. @fedurrrass4226 on July 17, 2025 at 7:51 pm

Xiaomi box s 2nd gen have only 1 update and don’t repair auto hdr. No auto refresh rate or auto frame rate. So that is no worth buy if you don’t have Dolby VIsion TV. On Samsung TV is no Dolby VIsion so hdr is ON by deafult and SDR signal like cartoons look washout, bad colour. 2gb ram is to low that days. Better option is buy Nokia android box or other with certification from Google

  22. @Vlad-hr5mx on July 17, 2025 at 7:52 pm

Stop. Bro. Most of does boxes dont decode shit

  23. @HaroldJackson on July 17, 2025 at 7:52 pm

FYI. I don’t do TV reviews anymore. I got a strike on my channel for talking about Pluto TV. So I took down all my TV streaming videos. I built my own TV box with a raspberry pi and installed k. But now I just ordered a new Tablo because I wanted the option to record TV shows and movies. Thanks for the video.😊

  24. @wileyc5824 on July 17, 2025 at 7:53 pm

Just an fyi…google onn only works in the US.

  25. @dablindbastardsfury5173 on July 17, 2025 at 7:53 pm

I’m going to have to do my research starting from 1to 5 on your list to see which ones have the best accessibility features the fire stick has voice view which helps with the legally blind and totally blind which I am legally blind

  26. @jamesbucsis6296 on July 17, 2025 at 7:54 pm

Buzz TV has a dongle, zmini

  27. @aravindm8818 on July 17, 2025 at 7:54 pm

    Withone is best for india?

  28. @geoffreyjoseph514 on July 17, 2025 at 7:56 pm

only problem is that the ONN boxes do not work outside the US and PR. therefore wont have the global appeal of the FS.

  29. @gunnerman1880 on July 17, 2025 at 7:57 pm

Hi again also what ones have added memory capability 😊

  30. @barryw9480 on July 17, 2025 at 7:57 pm

I’ve got an nvidia shield pro but I prefer my ugoos am8 pro simply because I don’t like the Google OS. The ugoos is far superior, faster, more space for apps and easier to mod. It’s got more of an android tablet OS so it feels less bulky.

  31. @DjOracletv on July 17, 2025 at 7:58 pm

Definitely getting number 1 soon rather just make the change now why wait till the end of the year

  32. @karimlahlou132 on July 17, 2025 at 7:58 pm

My friend I m looking for a tv box with an integrated battery! I want something clean with no wire cause I just watch tv 1hour here and there…any idea? Besides I m so surprised there is no choice in mini hdmi stick 😢only hdmi…

  33. @knowone6214 on July 17, 2025 at 7:59 pm

I will keep my old Chromecast….it works and doesn’t complain……They are all designed to rot your brain and keep ya hooked on the almighty Idiot Box

  34. @kevinkelly9268 on July 17, 2025 at 7:59 pm

Ok I know you probably said it but will the on4k Pro work on a roku tv.

  35. @johnienyc80 on July 17, 2025 at 7:59 pm

I have the ONN 4k pro and love it. Didnt mention that it also acts as a google home with a built in speaker

  36. @GS-mh6ub on July 17, 2025 at 8:00 pm

Amazon obviously doesn’t care about the amount of money they’re going to lose by making the switch.

  37. @somebodyimportint5791 on July 17, 2025 at 8:01 pm

Most people don’t know that you can just connect an old laptop/desktop pc to your TV the same as the firestick (its just an interface) From there you can go to certain FREE websites without any registration, logins or paid memberships to view all sports, movies and every cable tv channel. So glad I’m not most people. These websites are just that…a URL, viewable on any smart cell phone, tablet or pc/mac (FOR FREE). I wont name these sites here but none of them are named Netflix, Prime or Hulu. Much more convenient than the jailbroken Amazon usb sticks or Kodi tv boxes with outdated repositories and broken forks.

  38. @onrust1096 on July 17, 2025 at 8:01 pm

    Raspberry pi?

  39. @wtdudley05 on July 17, 2025 at 8:04 pm

I buy TV’s with google Os for this very reason. Both of my Sony Tv’s have Startup Show

  40. @alanneary1513 on July 17, 2025 at 8:04 pm

when Amzon does the switch will your side loeaded apps stop working??

  41. @marieta.s on July 17, 2025 at 8:05 pm

As many people point out onn and tivo work only in the US. So 3 of your options cannot be pursued by most people living outside the states.

  42. @gunnerman1880 on July 17, 2025 at 8:07 pm

Nice video but I did notice some don’t have prime TV so what ones do or do thanks 🙏

  43. @KA-rw3zd on July 17, 2025 at 8:08 pm

    Gentlemen’s agreement

  44. @Marcelomonteiro86 on July 17, 2025 at 8:09 pm

Esses sticks não atualiza a versão do Android, mesma versão de fábrica permanece

  45. @RM-ie6rw on July 17, 2025 at 8:10 pm

The best box I have used is the Nividia Shield. This is more pricy but runs Android and has Netflix, YouTube and other popular apps. (you do need a subscription for Netflix)

  46. @bobbear4437 on July 17, 2025 at 8:11 pm

Why not hook a mini computer up to your TV so you can add internet to your TV?

  47. @prestonbuchanon5507 on July 17, 2025 at 8:11 pm

Keep getting WiFi is disconnected on my onn device. It’ll work for a while then the WiFi notice comes up. Let it sit for while and turn it back on and it works again. Any suggestions on the WiFi problem

  48. @vherostar on July 17, 2025 at 8:13 pm

the Onn devices are US only so not really a great alternative for like 80% of the world. Too limited.

  49. @somebodyimportint5791 on July 17, 2025 at 8:16 pm

What the Gen Z’ers are doing is going to the free pirated websites from a web browser on their smart phones and simply mira casting the show to their tv’s….Android boxes and Firestick are what their grandparents use.

  50. @mpenny2008 on July 17, 2025 at 8:17 pm

Why is anyone buying streaming devices still ? Virtually every TV owned is a smart TV?
