So the solution is… ? Oh yeah. No solution. No money in a solution, only in fearmongering and clickbait.

I notice when I look at my watch and my sleep is low my mood will instantly turn low too. This is very real at least for me. I’ve used my fitbit for a decade and I was going to buy a brand new apple one but I really should just ditch it. I think I’m sort of addicted to it though. I look at it ALL the time for calories and such.

This only applies to people with internal motivation. If you don’t have any internal motivation it is better to workout with external motivation than not working out at all.

I mainly love my watch for having music on the go without carrying a phone for my run. And I check my average pace after running, then never look at all my stats and recordings again. So, those gadgets are definitely not as important as we think.

That first scene with you holding it over your head is probably the most unlikeable content I’ve seen since gen z boss in a mini. Stop trying to be a quirk chungus.

Do you have any links to articles that reference this?

There are many dark sides to living too, but we chose to live.

I am now not tracking sleep anymore and have hidden "body battery" since its just not accurate. Main problem "stress" is always waay too high.. which skews my sleepscore and body battery is down 30 points already by the time I only had breakfast and a shower :S

Agreed, they do make you obsessed. But only if you allow them to.
I mean… If you get obsessed with trackers (fitness or any tracker), you could get obsessed with anything really, that’s just how you are.
They key is knowing that you are I control and not them xD.

well the rings motivate me more than myself, I used to have years without even walk until I start to see the rings as trying to complete achievements

Just buy a normal casio with step tracker. It’s way better and more resistant aswell.

Another yapping video with zero substance. I think they point is to motivate people to get to a point where they are fit enough to be self-motivated.

This is why everything needs to become open source. For people who want piece of mind. Also, anyone know any real current privacy alternatives?

I donโ€™t care about steps but having a rough idea of active calories is crucial if your not in a sports team

This is exactly why I stopped using them. At some point you trust more the damn smartwatch than your own instinct. It messes with your head and makes you a slave lol
