I FIXED it!! So cool! My switch wouldn’t come out, the cover wouldn’t pop off, even pushing from the battery end, but I did push on the switch and rotate it and that fixed the problem, the bulb lit up. Then I hit a snag reassembling my flashlight. The end cap won’t screw on if the head is tightened on too far, so unscrew it a bit and then the endcap with the glass will be able to thread back onto the flashlight.

Wow! I have an old one which I kept in the drawer for years not knowing there was a replacement bulb. What a super convenient feature. Subscribed! Thank you!!

Thank you so much all the way from England for this video! I’ve been trying to sort my 2 minis that both weren’t working and after watching your video showing the extra bulbs stored in the base (I didn’t know!), they are both working perfectly. Thank you!

After watching this video, I finally realized that I have broken the switch and it needs to be replaced. I will have to look out where can I buy the switch online.

The design of the switch is such that the negative arm can easily fall out of the switch, it is small and might not be noticed when it happens. I flatened a small piece of a paper clip with a hammer, inserted it into the plastic, bent it till it reached the edge and cut it to fit. Worked great.

You can buy a new flashlight with 100s to 1,000s of lumen, for a lot less than trying to fix an old Mini Mag-Lite. If you really love your Mini-Maglite, replace it. Get the LED Pro Mini Mag-Lite. I still have Mini Mag-Lite flashlights. With the stunning 14 lumen. I don’t like waste. I’m not throwing them away. The LED upgrades are okay. A whopping 30 lumen LED is barely enough to see if I’m eating a Tic Tac or a Quaalude. But still far from a modern flashlight.
