Very nice tour, now, what happens when there is an Electric power outage, Or, your Apple Watch battery is low…

  4. @mirsaw on January 6, 2025 at 6:38 pm

Nice, so just a million different ways to turn on and off lights got it, ngl pretty dissapointed tech has not really progressed much beyond the clapper

  7. @newbyclive on January 6, 2025 at 6:43 pm

Nice video, definitely gave me some ideas but just imagine the amount of data these companies have on you and your family lol.

  8. @PhilipposACosta on January 6, 2025 at 6:44 pm

We should have more automation that saves us time. I bought an eufy x10 robot, and I place for him to clean every day when I am at work, and my daughter is in daycare. It was really good.
We need to figure out things for laundry. Something that separates your cloth by color then washes, then dries, then folds.
Or something that takes your trash out. When the trash is full, it zips, and it sends outdoor.
Or a robot that cuts your grass like the house cleaning one.
Or a cleaning robot that has AI vision (like Eufy X10) grabs my daughter’s toys, and just places them in a chest.
Or a smart dog training pad. That throws the poop in a trash can (or toilet), and when it is wet enough, it changes the pad.
Or a washing machine that you can leave the plates really dirty, without rinsing, and it will still clean.
Or a fridge that detects if somethign is going bad, or that has some sort of AI camera, that detects what you have inside, and displays to you.
I don’t care much about my house with colourfull lights like a disco. Or my house with thousands of cameras like a reality show. I want to save time.
Your channel is amazing and it would be really cool if you focused on productivity/time-saving automation.

Hi, I remember that in one of your videos you mentioned you have a pet feeder, so I just want to know how effective the Aqara FP2 is in differentiating between a pet and a human and not accidentally trigger any automations due to the pet?

  10. @personalizedroaches3653 on January 6, 2025 at 6:44 pm

    This video is unintentionally hilarious

  11. @Nyancat-h3j on January 6, 2025 at 6:45 pm

Did you buy that house for $2000?

  12. @intanettrappin8367 on January 6, 2025 at 6:46 pm

  14. @tusmartcasa8177 on January 6, 2025 at 6:47 pm

I saw on a previews video that you have a morning routine automation for work-out, that the lighting change base of a timer. Can you please help me creating an automation like that one.

  15. @yuqiao2397 on January 6, 2025 at 6:47 pm

    Just over engineering.

  16. @EELA2024 on January 6, 2025 at 6:49 pm

You spoke highly of the aqara presence sensor, why do you think it gets such bad reviews? All presence sensors for that matter?

  17. @legenddairy8346 on January 6, 2025 at 6:53 pm

    Multiple zone lighup is insane!

  18. @Ramnathk on January 6, 2025 at 6:54 pm

Thanks for this, love your sense of humor. Quick question – do you use/need the aqara hub to use their contact sensors?

  19. @ClassOneThousand on January 6, 2025 at 6:55 pm

All fun and games until the Wi-Fi goes down.

  20. @SumanDebnathProfessional on January 6, 2025 at 6:55 pm

You’re my go to person to check for smarthome ideas. I just started. Have a bunch of bulbs, sensors, light strips, plugs, and buttons. This is so fun. I always wanted to make my home smart when I was a kid, and I’m finally living that dream now. Everything is so cool.

It always blows my mind to see people put so much time, effort, and money into smart home stuff, then leave sensors sitting out on countertops and have nests of wires running unmanaged. It’s like buying a Ferrari, and replacing the interior with pleather.

  25. @HP_line_cook on January 6, 2025 at 7:00 pm

I just recently bought a microwave that connects with the Alexa app. My first ever smart house appliance.

I feel like Tony Stank (IFYKYK 😜)

  26. @jamesgichuki8954 on January 6, 2025 at 7:00 pm

the video is great how did you make and connect all the wires

  27. @philiprichardson1842 on January 6, 2025 at 7:01 pm

Hello! Could you explain how you have your Frame TV set up? Do you utilize a combination of Apple TV and the Samsung default home interface or just Apple TV? Do you use both remotes?

  28. @ZenHulk on January 6, 2025 at 7:01 pm

I have to unsubscribe, its pretty much about turning lights on and how many thousands you can spend on it. I build robots and started in 1982 with cardboard smarthomes are nowhere and going nowhere. I have a robot that can be told to go cook a meal, it can navigate the house, pull the ingredients and ready to cook, yes cooking isnt there yet, but my AI recognizes the order and face in the same amount of words you turned on lights, and who has lights around a tv, that defeats vision.

  29. @ItismrKurd on January 6, 2025 at 7:03 pm

    What about vulnerabilities?

  30. @kiles78 on January 6, 2025 at 7:06 pm

If robots to go over the world, he would be dead

  31. @Chaybee12 on January 6, 2025 at 7:06 pm

Hey Reed! I revisited this vid because I want to integrate an FP2 in conjunction with a Hue motion sensor and I see that you have (or had) that in your living room. I have Hue Labs set up to where if I push a Hue button it bypasses the motion sensor so say, I am going to be in a room for a while and then fall asleep, the motion sensor will not trigger. Can this be coordinated with the FP2? Maybe "disarm" with an Aqara button or someting? If I want to turn off the lights even when I plan on being in a room, I don’t want the FP2 to trigger them on.

  32. @RockfordWX on January 6, 2025 at 7:07 pm

I’m imagining myself coming for dinner, leaving thinking I just spent an hour and a half listening to a home automation sales pitch.

  48. @JuliaCarson-m7x on January 6, 2025 at 7:29 pm

I had the same cold water issue in my home. Game changer was having a recirculation pump installed which keeps warm water flowing through the pipes. I connected the pump to a smart plug and have automated it with Home Assistant to only run when we’re home and during times we are likely to use the shower or faucets. Highly recommend for water savings

Love the vids. Keep it up!!! ️
