Nimb panic ring is a wearable safety alert system

Nimb is a wearable security system disguised as a ring. The idea is simple: A ring with a panic button sends emergency alerts via Bluetooth to pre-set list of contacts on your phone, including friends, family members, first responders, people nearby and other people you can specify inside the Nimb app. You can pre-order it now for $129. Once fully in production, the price will be $149.

I like it. Are they working on making the ring smaller?

Its designed to be a ring, but you dont really need to use it as a ring. It might be 1 or 2 seconds slower, but you could still use it if you keep in in an safe and easy access place. And TBH, deception also helps if youre in danger and those who wanna hurt you know about this ring, they would get really mad when they find out you have it, even if you didnt used it. More important than design and deception is the device protection, is it protected from EMP or inhibitors?

as long as it’s not too easy to trigger it accident, doesn’t need constant charging then it is pretty neat

It would be better if it would just send a text

Why you think its ugly?? It kinda looks nice to me. We’re lucky there are inventors who don’t just invent things but also they think of our safety specially for girls! I just don’t get it, why dont you just create your own rings??

I think they should just make a bracelet. I see too many complainers in the comments. and it has been 4 years! another woman was just attacked in Long Island New York while walking on a trail. The technology exists, you aren’t going to please all people (Some complaining $149 is too expensive, give me a break! others saying it is ugly, and some saying it is too big). So just make a bracelet like the apple watch or fitbit in black and white. If someone doesn’t like the color or pattern…too bad …knit yourself a cover for it.
