They can do it in 2026 and say its a 6th generation but that is just bs. They simply do not have the size and funding through their xbox sales to pay for a pro version, which for me is also a non thing that Sony shouldn’t have done either, but they could. They also don’t want to wait since they have been loosing the race for years. So we will get an xbox and 1 or 2 years later a real ‘6th generation’ console with ps6. Also it was now claimed by internal sources that microsoft might quiet the gaming market entirely if it’s streaming gaming service doesn’t show profit over the coming 2 years. Also i think new consoles should be about new games that support those new consoles. With Switch 2 many now complain so Nintendo should have done more. With the PS5 pro there were also no real releases and marginal visual improvements to the naked eye. So Microsoft better come with a stronger gaming lineup. But these companies need to be years in their game development to make that possible.
Xbox sucks. My xbox series x became corrupted. No explanation from anyone. I eventually got a refund. Made the change to PS5 and love it much more than the xbox I had been committed to for decades
