  4. @ThexImperfectionist on April 14, 2025 at 2:15 pm

If you’re not already doing this, wear your heaviest/bulkiest layers on the plane. That will make much more of an impact than saving ounces off your comb

  5. @skubeeraw on April 14, 2025 at 2:17 pm

joke’s on you, i like to look like a sith lord.

  6. @CarlosEduardo-qf5gr on April 14, 2025 at 2:17 pm

The Nite Ize stand is apparently discontinued and can’t be found in stock anywhere. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for, but knock-offs aren’t strong enough to hold an iPad at that size.

  7. @skiddysm on April 14, 2025 at 2:17 pm

I’m looking for a bag I can put my helmet in with all my other gear at work. Please help

  8. @sruckel on April 14, 2025 at 2:20 pm

She is a much better reader. Her delivery is not choppy and is more normal than the regular guy.

  9. @elizabethday576 on April 14, 2025 at 2:20 pm

This is helpful gear for EDC too! Definitely keeping an eye on that power bank and device stand for my sling to keep it lightweight. 👍🏻 And the packability of the rain jacket is perfect for a larger sling!

    This is madness

  11. @JokkeHimSelf on April 14, 2025 at 2:24 pm

Info about Nitecore. Just to cover it, if a battery says it’s 10,000mAh that doesn’t mean you’re getting 10,000mAh. The batteries are a certain voltage but the voltage has to be changed to your cell phones (etc) voltage. That process reduces efficiency (other things do too.) If you start going on about total density of 38,500 and how it should be considered, then please describe it simply. 😉

Can I just how much I love Laurens reviews? She is the best among the team.

Hey PH, Thanks for another great video. I’m curious if the Helium Jacket holds any heat to speak of or should it really ONLY be considered for water protection?

  14. @KAlpha09 on April 14, 2025 at 2:26 pm

Just curious why phone-case-charger are not recommended? It helps eliminating carrying a bulky power banks and protects your phone, albeit heavy tho.

  15. @Jax3cats on April 14, 2025 at 2:26 pm

I love my Travelon tech organizer! I picked it up a few years ago at TJ Maxx for about $7 (they still have them). Despite its small size, it holds a lot. I keep mine in my work backpack (EDC?) and it holds 2 Apple charging bricks (USB A and C), a couple multi-head charging cables, Apple USB C cable, Apple Watch charger, Aftershokz headphone charger, 10,000mA battery, and a little suction cup phone stand.

  16. @Tancrad on April 14, 2025 at 2:26 pm

Would not recommend the helium 2 to anyone looking to stay dry. I’ve had 3, and a coupled friends that have some. they have all wet though quickly. they work great as a wind break to improve your mid layers effectiveness. and its okay for a light sprinkle. but i would not recommend if you are going to rely on it as a rain jacket for medium to heavy downpours.

I stopped watching this video only because of the annoying pretext right b4 each item.
    It’s not a blog post ppl… it’s a YouTube video.

  21. @lylarush on April 14, 2025 at 2:35 pm

Very helpful video. Need more ultralight weight gear for light weight travel. Carry on pack often limited to just 7kg and not just the size of the bag.

  22. @lhchar2 on April 14, 2025 at 2:36 pm

    謝謝!

  23. @Greg-bz2bf on April 14, 2025 at 2:37 pm

Travel with cords: Ziploc bag and cords in clean socks or held together with shock cord. The zippers, band and fabric add weight.

  24. @jan-lucaalbrecht8686 on April 14, 2025 at 2:37 pm

General Video idea: what about a comparison of packable daypacks! I‘d watch it

  25. @0mfgeeze on April 14, 2025 at 2:38 pm

Didn’t even realize, I snagged that travelon tech organizer at my local thrift and I use it for a mini med kit, I’ve got bandages, ace wraps, triangle bandages, neosporin, etc in it and its perfect for that.

  26. @shapelessbb on April 14, 2025 at 2:39 pm

Maybe we want to look like a Sith Lord. Hmmmmmm

  27. @JoeLopez on April 14, 2025 at 2:40 pm

Adding that device stand to my kit now!

  28. @littlenel17 on April 14, 2025 at 2:40 pm

Wow I love what you’ve done with your hair Tom.

  29. @TimothyBushell on April 14, 2025 at 2:41 pm

I’ve been a “digital nomad” for 15 years. If you want to travel light the best advice is to not buy too many gadgets. You’ll save weight and money and the environment.

  30. @microMobilidade on April 14, 2025 at 2:41 pm

This is a great idea also for back to school gadgets.

  31. @Haza371 on April 14, 2025 at 2:44 pm

light weight water bottle? just use plastic bottle. Use two fishnetbags for dirty and clean laundry. use clean one for travel pillow. organizer and power bank I can agree, those are pretty good to have. mobile device stand: just get a phone case with a stand.

  32. @bamf75 on April 14, 2025 at 2:46 pm

when did we decide that we were going to say "color way" rather than "color" ?

  33. @mohammadmoayyadsiddiqui7951 on April 14, 2025 at 2:46 pm

My father has the zojirushi mug he uses it for taking tea to the office works great for him keeps tea hot for 6 or more hours. He has the matte black color. I think the size is the middle one 700 ml. It is hard to clean the tea stains
Edit: I checked the size it was 16 ounces

  34. @JohnSmith-bz9be on April 14, 2025 at 2:49 pm

Handy advice and gadgets here. Cheers 🙂

  35. @alifares658 on April 14, 2025 at 2:52 pm

Woah I did not expect to find Lebanese money in this video 😀

  36. @etherealicer on April 14, 2025 at 2:53 pm

I love to carry my Sea to Summit Poncho (packs fairly small and is really light). I think it has 2 advantages over a rain jacket. Better when it is warm (ok, that also means, it is worse when it is cold). And secondly, it also protects your backpack (especially useful in heavy rain).

  37. @peggywoods4327 on April 14, 2025 at 2:54 pm

I love my Loki rain jacket. It might not be as light, but it keeps me dry, has built-in mittens and face mask, plus it folds into the back pocket which reveals straps so you can wear it like a pack, and also doubles as a pillow.

  38. @Frumious_Jabberwocky on April 14, 2025 at 2:57 pm

That powerbank invests too much into luxury exterior. The carbon case boosts the price tag to unreasonable level, otherwise it is just an average powerbank with typical technologies, no superior to competitors. Slightly lighter though, but the weight economy varies in wide range depending on the competitor. For example, Hoco Q7 weighs just 7 grams heavier, costs half the price. I’m pretty sure there are much more options to consider, if research deeper.
Well, unless you’re charmed by shining carbon texture.

  39. @bulletlo on April 14, 2025 at 2:59 pm

Add in the next version the budi type c cable

  40. @nadavdahan335 on April 14, 2025 at 3:00 pm

Hi Pack Hacker, is there any chance you will be reviewing the CabinZero ADV 42L (regular or PRO version) soon ? seems like an eligible candidate for a really good carry-on travel bag

  41. @bangalorebobbel on April 14, 2025 at 3:02 pm

Cool stuff as always, thanks a lot!
Yes the nitecore powerbank seems to be ultralight compared to conventional powerbanks from Anker etc. but compared to other lithium polymer powerbanks it is more or less in the range. For example the mi pro 10.000 weights just 40 grams more compared to the nitecore but delivers one more output port and can even give 22,5 Watts of output power whiles the nitecore does only 18 Watts. Yet the nitecore costs around three times the price of the mi …
The carbonfibre comb looks fine, I have to check for it. Did you already check out the Keith Titanium Combs? I love their Ti1731 model – and yes of course I’m a baldhead but a bearded one 😉

  42. @benscott3157 on April 14, 2025 at 3:02 pm

The ultimate lightweight gear is the stuff you don’t take it all….most of this stuff is unnecessary!

  43. @Brachial-Tech on April 14, 2025 at 3:03 pm

Please help me to find the woodplates in the background. I saw these on other YouTubers like the verge and other but no one knows the brand 🙁

  44. @rebeccaw9656 on April 14, 2025 at 3:05 pm

A great complimentary video to this one, would be light weight travel bags🙏 for those of us travelling through the Asian Pacific countries and budget European airlines – that have a carry on limit of 7-10 kg depending on the airline.

  45. @IntriguedLioness on April 14, 2025 at 3:05 pm

Zojirushi is the norm in Japan and I picked one up years ago when this flip top first came out.

I could never understand why thermos brand in Japan provides lightweight options yet thermos brand and all the others in the US are so bloody heavy!?!

  46. @dominiqueduval8834 on April 14, 2025 at 3:05 pm

Could you guys do an update review on Baboon to the moon go bag?

  47. @mastnrib709 on April 14, 2025 at 3:07 pm

Thank you for your videos. Would it be possible to have the reference of the wallet at 8:25?

  48. @gaikokuable on April 14, 2025 at 3:08 pm

I am so proud of my travel bag which is just 1kg, and I am traveling with it any countries, weeks to months.
but I didn’t know about the mobile battery which weighs just 150g. mine is Anker, called PowerCore 10000mAh PD Redux 25W, and which is about 194g. it would be so awesome if I can reduce 44g. so I added that battery in my wishlist.
please let know any recommandations for shavers. mine is 70g, I believe that it could have been more lighter.

  49. @rlfstr on April 14, 2025 at 3:09 pm

Any chance of an umbrella video soon? I’m currently looking for a light and portable one. Besides, I’ve seen so many scenes in your videos of Tom walking through the rain like he just got dumped, I’m sure you would have some umbrella recs 🙂
