If You Have Reolink Cameras, You NEED THIS – Reolink Home Hub PRO

Today, we are going to check out the Reolink Home Hub PRO. One centralized location to store the recordings of your Reolink Cameras which can be wired PoE, plug in WIFI or their Battery Solar Powered ones. This is the bigger brother of the Reolink Home Hub and also have better features. I’ll also be comparing this to Reolink’s WIFI NVR so that you will be able to decide which one is the best for your security camera needs.

Reolink should come out with a business version of this one!!

  2. @pohalsted8847 on October 14, 2025 at 1:42 am

I bought the home hub with wireless doorbell and 4 Altas 2k cameras. I returned all 5 packages to Amazon. The wireless doorbell is terrible and their good doorbells are not compatible with the hub. I want all my cameras and devices integrated so this is not the brand for me. The hub and cameras were good, but I was not going to have a doorbell not in the same ecosystem as my cameras.

Thanks for the review! Quick question, what are the resolution options on the HDMI output?

  4. @gabrielvojtko3650 on October 14, 2025 at 1:42 am

I’m waiting for my Home Hub Pro and 4x Lumus Pro. I’m looking forward to trying it out.

  5. @stephenjeffery1115 on October 14, 2025 at 1:45 am

Sorry do not see benefit of this compared to NVR (4 camera’s currently hard wired into NVR and cannot see how to connect all 4 camera’s to the hub pro), think am going to stick to NVR as cannot see any difference to warrant use Hub Pro?

  6. @abyssiniahenry128 on October 14, 2025 at 1:45 am

I wish you could add a battery backup power base like you can with Eufy’s Homebase. I think Reolink missed an opportunity there.

  7. @ChrisDuffy_82 on October 14, 2025 at 1:45 am

Hey – so if I have wifi doorbell (wired power) and wifi camera (wired power but not PoE) then neither will live stream?

  8. @Jjsaba2008 on October 14, 2025 at 1:46 am

Question for you I was in the market for security system form Reolink if I have a couple POE switches and one main NVR am I able to view it from the Reolink app still if the NVR is connected to my main router

  9. @txflyerken173 on October 14, 2025 at 1:47 am

I was told that roughing my battery cameras through the hub would give me Onvof for my 3rd party software, if so is there a special way to set it up that will allow the Onvif feature to show up. Thanks!

  10. @Mr.No-body697 on October 14, 2025 at 1:48 am

So where do you plug in the poe cameras on. The home hub pro?

  11. @urbanadventures1657 on October 14, 2025 at 1:48 am

Have you testing the hub with hybridge mode turned on in the NVR setting ? I’m curious if this would let you use both

  12. @tb693ny6 on October 14, 2025 at 1:48 am

Google is jacking up there prices so it’s time to shop for a new system. I’ve been watching your videos, you like the Reolink PoE setup?

  13. @himank0110 on October 14, 2025 at 1:48 am

How is it different from nvr wifi?

  14. @antoineg639 on October 14, 2025 at 1:48 am

I want to set up a system with one duo2 and one argus 3 pro to start. should i go home hub or nvr?

  15. @obijuan- on October 14, 2025 at 1:49 am

Thank you SIR. Excellent explanation of features and differences. I didn’t know, until you told us, once added to the Hub Pro, we don’t see the cameras on the network. I guess that also means, we can’t "call" them to see a live image in an Alexa Show device? Or can we call them through the Hub Pro to the Show? Can cameras be connected to both an NVR and Hub Pro at same time? No, not sure, why I want to, but might be useful to access some granularity in the camera from the NVR, (I guess).

I guess if can’t access camera after they have been to Hub Pro, then must use Micro card and not add them to the Hub Pro? Yes? No familiar yet with Reolink. Can we access and download video’s from MicroSD cards still in the camera?

  16. @SomeGuy-gk5dp on October 14, 2025 at 1:50 am

these home hubs are garbage. dont buy.

  17. @marksd2167 on October 14, 2025 at 1:55 am

Hi LH. Thanks so much for the review. I have a question for you about the firmware update. You said you had to download it and update it that way. Can you give some info on how you did that? Did you download it to your pc. Use the Reolink client on the pc to update the firmware? I’m asking because I just received my HHPro and want to update the firmware. I did download the firmware for the correct HHPro model that I have, but when I extracted the zip file, it had instructions for a NVR. Did you see that with your download? The one I downloaded is v3.3.0.369_24112931

  18. @wayland7150 on October 14, 2025 at 2:05 am

Can the WiFi be used in Client mode so we don’t have to wire it into the main network?

  19. @l3gatto on October 14, 2025 at 2:06 am

Any ideas on why you’re missing Scene Modes at 3:56 but it’s then available as an option at 4:32 ? I currently can’t seem to figure out how to get Scenes Modes to appear for me after having 4 cameras added to my Home Hub.

  20. @noz3m on October 14, 2025 at 2:07 am

If using wired cameras, why should we pick the home hub pro instead of a NVR?

Also is it better to add the camera’s via the network? or via a POE switch connected to the hub?

  21. @jasonwallace2035 on October 14, 2025 at 2:07 am

Eufy needs to add HDMI output / NVR functionally to their Homebases like Reolink has.

  22. @MrZama22 on October 14, 2025 at 2:09 am

Hey LH – Did you find out of the strip of light/reflection visible in the Duo 2V at night with the spot lights on was due to where you had it mounted or is always there at night with spotlights? Did it just need a wipe?

  23. @kolesplace on October 14, 2025 at 2:09 am

Your last comment about going for the NVR over the Hub if our cameras are wired, can you explain?

  24. @cuda6872 on October 14, 2025 at 2:10 am

Couple of questions not covered. Will the hub work with a mix of cameras connected through extenders and cameras that don’t need an extender to connect to home network? Other question, will the on-board micro SD chip in the battery/solar cameras act as a recording backup if power or internet to the hub is lost?

  25. @musicandmotionpictures8914 on October 14, 2025 at 2:14 am

so I have a question. A magnetic cover for a spinning hard drive (which is impacted by magnetic fields). Are you facing data corruption on long term recordings?

  26. @pluralism7 on October 14, 2025 at 2:15 am

Because I got a bit confused with the live view of the battery-powered cameras, if I buy the Altas PT Ultra camera and I want to record 24/7 on this hub, is that possible, or will it only record to the hard drive when it detects motion? Also, I read a comment saying that when you connect a camera to a hub, it drains the battery faster. Is that true?

  27. @JillJohnson-o1s on October 14, 2025 at 2:15 am

Great video! 👍 Is there any possible to test imilab security camera if you can?

  28. @cpfb68 on October 14, 2025 at 2:15 am

What’s the benefit of using this Hub Pro over an NVR?

  29. @RobertLongM on October 14, 2025 at 2:18 am

Question: when i scroll through video, it doesnt show on screen, like RING allows.

I.e. i use the slider, the screen freezes until i let go. This sucks!!! I mean deal breaker.

  30. @HazelAndrewsAcupuncture on October 14, 2025 at 2:18 am

I have a mix of Poe ( via Reolink switch ) and powered WiFi. Can the home hob pro give me 24/7 recording. I’ve had a few instances recently where events haven’t triggered a recording, and would like the option to look back at specific events ( or non-events) in the case of deliveries. Or do I need the WiFi nvr?

  31. @Matt25_1-13 on October 14, 2025 at 2:20 am

thanks for all your videos…i really liked your "Hardwire your WIFI Security Cameras – No Power Outlet Needed! ft video". Anyway, i was wondering if you could do a video how you can add a tapo camera to a reolink nvr?? I read that you can but don’t know how, and don’t see any youtube videos on how to do it. I like reolink camera but they don’t work quickly with alexa, and I am hoping the tapo cameras will work on the reolink nvr so i don’t have to replace all my cameras.

  32. @mikedien3609 on October 14, 2025 at 2:21 am

nice hubs. but i stick to my free shinobi nvr on a proxmox server.
with the reolink onvif cams, installation is a piece of cake

  33. @ZachReinhold on October 14, 2025 at 2:21 am

Not seeing Scenes as an option on my Hub. Did they do away with that option?

  34. @ronm6585 on October 14, 2025 at 2:22 am

    Nice. Thanks L.H.

  35. @miguelvega76 on October 14, 2025 at 2:24 am

I like a lot your reviews , i bought a few reolink based on your reviews and they have not disappointed. Are you planing to review the cx820 ? I would love that Reolink had a colorx trackmix camera , that would make a great camera even better . Colorx and optical zoom are the missing features on trackmix

  36. @Dsharp240 on October 14, 2025 at 2:24 am

So does the home hub make any camera connected record 24/7 or is it just wired cameras that record 24/7

  37. @ScienceBitch123 on October 14, 2025 at 2:28 am

You didn’t explain at all why to go with hub over nvr. The NVR has WiFi as well

  38. @JiJiCle on October 14, 2025 at 2:28 am

Hello, thanks for your reviews they’re always helpful!
Have you tried the Reolink Analytics to have summary of events recent missed events?
I’ll looking for a system that send me brief summaries of events without having to search through lots of recordings, maybe you know one?

  39. @darkoangelo on October 14, 2025 at 2:31 am

Does the hub and the hub pro allow 24/7 recording for the wifi camera like the Reolink duo?

  40. @Wanderer001_Reviews on October 14, 2025 at 2:31 am

And I thought the Home Hub was large

  41. @dirtybird_7988 on October 14, 2025 at 2:31 am

Help, I just bought the 8 channel nvr w/ 2 cameras and set them up but when I switch to LTE I cannot connect to the cameras

  42. @saulbass9293 on October 14, 2025 at 2:32 am

Great review, thanks. Just one question…if your home Wi-Fi goes down will your Wi-Fi cameras automatically switch to the Hub’s Wi-Fi network?

  43. @cdfornal on October 14, 2025 at 2:32 am

Does it work with duo ?

  44. @asamataua on October 14, 2025 at 2:34 am

Just wished everything came in black. 😭

  45. @latmask00 on October 14, 2025 at 2:35 am

What is the brand of the 2TB HDD?

  46. @prietogerardo1 on October 14, 2025 at 2:36 am

I went with the hub over the NVR, all of my cameras are wired in.
The main reason for this was better integration into Smart home resources as it allows Alexa sharing for any camera I’d like. A bit clunky and cumbersome of a set up but when you get it to work, it works!

  47. @iam-avila on October 14, 2025 at 2:36 am

Great review as always! Do you know if the drive caddy have holes to fit a 2.5" drive? I was thinking of replacing the HDD with a SATA SSD.

  48. @AhmedAhmed-os9tr on October 14, 2025 at 2:36 am

    Real helpful information
    Thank you

  49. @davross600 on October 14, 2025 at 2:37 am

Reolink don’t appear to sell this in Australia, which is unfortunate. I ended up going with the basic home hub.

  50. @morebeatsplease on October 14, 2025 at 2:38 am

So do these record 24hrs nonstop?
