Stelo sucks – Lingo is so much more accurate than the Stelo .

  2. @diannabuck6896 on July 12, 2025 at 7:06 pm

The only one I tried was Libre 3 plus are NOT accurate hardly at all

  3. @12babyapes59 on July 12, 2025 at 7:06 pm

I use the Libre 3 and It takes about 24hrs to adjust to me and I get readings close to a finger jab.

  4. @benjamindrew9232 on July 12, 2025 at 7:07 pm

My fingerstick and stelo are only a couple of points off. The fingerstick monitor is the relion from walmrt.i was expecting a wide difference and there wasn’t .

  5. @dorothybrown8859 on July 12, 2025 at 7:07 pm

I so appreciate you doing this video comparison. I’m awaiting delivery of the Stelo now, seems I made a good choice. Even misplacement of the cgm was beneficial as it showed placement is important. Thanks, again โค

  6. @jamestaylor9258 on July 12, 2025 at 7:07 pm

If you recommend it prescribe G6s or G7s to nondiabetics, you are part of the problem why type 1 diabetics can’t fill their prescriptions because of short supply.

  7. @kimberlyward5438 on July 12, 2025 at 7:08 pm

I am a non insulin user, so I purchased the Dexcom Stelo. So I got my Dexcom Stelo and I followed all the directions and put it on, it said to keep adhesive patch dry for 12 hours which I did and after the 30 minute warm up period it started giving me glucose readings. Kind of impressive, except all my readings were saying blood glucose is over 250mg/dl, so I went and watched a video from diabetes strong and found out if your blood glucose goes above 250mg/dl, it wonโ€™t give you an exact reading and I had to stick my finger and check my blood glucose the old fashioned way, which did not make me happy! Then 15 hours after I applied the continuous glucose meter, I went for a 30 minute walk. Towards the end of my walk I started feeling something like a needle sticking me in the location of the glucose meter and I checked the area to find the meter came loose. Even worse it canโ€™t be reused and thatโ€™s $45 in the trash, $89 for the 2 pack of monitors! The lady from the Diabetes Strong gives another solution for a different type adhesive to use that will keep it on and Itโ€™s $24.99 for a 12 pack. I wonโ€™t use the second glucose meter I have without getting some of the other adhesive patches, but it really sucks that the company that makes these, only gives you, but one adhesive patch and that patch doesnโ€™t work. Also, the company that makes these glucose meter knows that diabetics glucose levels can go well above 250mg/dl at times and the one they make for insulin dependent diabetics does show higher readings if they occur! I contacted the company about the patch and the glucose monitor falling off and still havenโ€™t heard anything from them! So customer service sucks too! Unfortunately, I wonโ€™t purchase these monitors again, until Dexcom makes improvements in the Stelo!

    Doc? Don’t say "more tricky."
Welcome to America, where we simply say "trickier."
No charge. And thanks for the comparisons.

  9. @Asergaottie on July 12, 2025 at 7:09 pm

I have had the worst luck with Libre 3 with them staying on even with waterproof patches over them, sensor failures and more. I have taken pictures of them sent them to abbott of them being in the right place. The readings are way off from where my bloodstick is.

  10. @rwheeler6765 on July 12, 2025 at 7:11 pm

Would recommend only two on each arm. Try this trial on a diabetic patient and show graphs over time with documentation of meals and snacks. Then publish!!

  11. @Realwittlegirl on July 12, 2025 at 7:12 pm

    But Stella dosent measure lows

  12. @sureshbaral1970 on July 12, 2025 at 7:13 pm

How can reliability be assessed on sample size of one?

  13. @ngana8755 on July 12, 2025 at 7:14 pm

8:19 min Stelo and Dexcom best for reliability. 8:54 min Stelo is the best CGM, according to SugarMD.

  14. @DavidSossamon on July 12, 2025 at 7:16 pm

Thank you for doing this for us.

  15. @kathypeterman2886 on July 12, 2025 at 7:17 pm

Thanks for sharing the look, application and accuracy of the 4 sensors you tested. They do have some different features as well worth checking out. You put the Dexcom too close to your deltoid…it should go on the back of the arm where there is more subcutaneous tissue and less blood vessels. You can lift your arm up to get to the back if that is easier. It also is important to clean your arm prior to placing the sensors…either through a recent shower or one can use an alcohol prep pad (just be sure to let it dry as alcohol is a vasodilator and can encourage bleeding or it can sting when wet). I’m an RN and have used the Libre 14-Day sensors for years. I just started yesterday with trying out then Lingo and like it so far. It keeps your history and has educational and supportive prompts…but I need to do a few rounds of it to tell if I will continue with it or try to get an Rx for the Libre-3.

  16. @justineball9511 on July 12, 2025 at 7:19 pm

I am type 1 and have been using dexcom for years. I love it.

  17. @jak4701 on July 12, 2025 at 7:19 pm

Im about to start using it and I am getting more and more excited after each review video until I saw your blood ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚

  18. @michaellayton7373 on July 12, 2025 at 7:20 pm

How did that happen. Stabbed by a needle maybe.

  19. @joeluisishere on July 12, 2025 at 7:23 pm

U ate all those muffins with not much a spike hmm my numbers would be up the roof

  20. @surendrabagaria5965 on July 12, 2025 at 7:24 pm

CGMโ€™S are not accurate especially the libre one.

  21. @ewawiman9007 on July 12, 2025 at 7:26 pm

@SugarMD You or a diabetic should also test the other longtime CGM on the market, the Eversense 365 days I planted CGM. It is highly accurate as well.

  22. @jamesadenjones on July 12, 2025 at 7:26 pm

Save yourself $100 every month. Forget the CGM. I did it for a few weeks, and it indicated that I need to be eating healthier! (which I already know)Technology run amok. A1C every 3 months is much more reliable and covered by insurance if you are DM II.

  23. @Part_121 on July 12, 2025 at 7:28 pm

One other thing that should be mentioned, in order to use the OTC CGMs, you have to certify that you’re over 18 years old and not using insulin. One other advantage of the OTC CGMs (both Abbot Libre and Dexcom Stelo) is that there are no low glucose alarms. This can be a problem with prescription CGMs, if, while sleeping, you compress the arm where the CGM is located and produce an artificially low reading causing the alarm to needlessly wake you up.

  24. @tadmikowsky7520 on July 12, 2025 at 7:29 pm

In my experience with Dexcom Stelo (around 4 months now), less than half of the sensors have worked as advertised. The rest either fail within 0-3 days or have wildly inaccurate readings around 20-40 mg/dL too high. Some major qc issues at the moment it seems..

  25. @christianlords1340 on July 12, 2025 at 7:29 pm

I used lif3 and if i slept with on my arm the low blood sugar would alarm.

I have used libre 1 and 2 for several years off and on.
Always lower than blood test sometimes 40 points!! Useless.

  31. @zaluq on July 12, 2025 at 7:40 pm

blood results vs plasma under skin , always different we know

  32. @patriciahill9662 on July 12, 2025 at 7:41 pm

Used Stelo…does not last for 14 days and the closer you get to the 10 day mark, the accuracy starts to wane. Stelo was 137 and my manual check was 87. Way off!

  33. @marieazrak1951 on July 12, 2025 at 7:42 pm

    Do you have diabetes yourself

  34. @ABC-rh7zc on July 12, 2025 at 7:43 pm

You can’t compare the readings of interstitial glucose monitors (as tested here) with blood glucose monitors because there is a time delay for the interstitial glucose relative to blood glucose.

  35. @LaRa-youknowit on July 12, 2025 at 7:44 pm

  36. @valerieallenpowell5169 on July 12, 2025 at 7:44 pm

U said u r a doctor. I didn’t see u prep the area before installing them. Then u started to bleed and didn’t ๐Ÿ˜ฎ clean it up before continuing ur installs. I can c why there wasn’t accurate info and failure of devices. The experiment is inconclusive.๐Ÿ˜ข

  37. @rickt10 on July 12, 2025 at 7:46 pm

Been using the Libre3 for about 3 months now. I love it. Have done so much testing and am getting everthing sorted out. Did have one fail about 4 days early, otherwise no problems.

  38. @Kev3l173 on July 12, 2025 at 7:46 pm

I use a dexcom g6. Out the box its not always right. I calibrate it with a finger stick reading within the first day of putting on a sensor. Makes it read accurate for the duration of the sensor.

  39. @Dominic710honey on July 12, 2025 at 7:47 pm

Nice, I just started my Stelo yesterday, and I love it.

  40. @kymng2665 on July 12, 2025 at 7:48 pm

Just started the Libre3 today. I Contour glucose meter has been about 30 pts lower than the libre3.

  41. @jrowlove7328 on July 12, 2025 at 7:50 pm

My Stelo lasted 15 1/2 days on both.

  42. @ihabahmed1132 on July 12, 2025 at 7:57 pm

Can I use the sensor while doing an MRI? I mean, do I have to remove the sensor before doing the MRI?

  43. @ADayInTheLifeofLori on July 12, 2025 at 7:57 pm

Thank you for this review. It was brave of you to test all four. I am waiting for the Stello to arrive so that I can try it out along with my aura ring. Ora has some kind of connection with Stella so that their apps work together I donโ€™t have diabetes, but Iโ€™m very overweight and a strong history of diabetes in the family.I hope the Stella will help me see what happens based on what foods I eat, and that I will be motivated from this information to make corrections.

  44. @jayr4413 on July 12, 2025 at 7:59 pm

Mine was way off like by 20 points even after calibration

  45. @vampire64 on July 12, 2025 at 8:00 pm

It would have been great if you had shown your finger stick glucose device was calibrate by using the calibration solution. So there is no question both devices are accurate.

  46. @mariemarie5197 on July 12, 2025 at 8:01 pm

Just FYI, CGM needs a soaking period. For the initial use, wait 24 hours before activating the sensor. Then, 24 hours before the one in your arm expires, put on a new sensor, then activate it when the old one quits working.

  47. @RJMEL24 on July 12, 2025 at 8:01 pm

I use Libre3. Only thing I donโ€™t like is taking it off.

  48. @N9524Q on July 12, 2025 at 8:02 pm

Iโ€™ve had the Stello since July. So. That is 14 sensors. Four of those sensors have been 20 to 30 points high. Only maybe four of them have been what I would call accurate within 5 to 10 points of a fingerprint. My A1c is 5.3. But some sensors over the two weeks will show my average blood sugar at 110 while other sensors might be 130 so I donโ€™t think theyโ€™re that accurate at all. In fact, it is very discouraging with the normal green range between 70 and 140 and youโ€™re staying within it 99 % of the time while other sensors only about 80% of the time. Iโ€™m 79 years old, I might be prediabetic, but not really diabetic.

  49. @finallyretired3623 on July 12, 2025 at 8:02 pm

like the stelo. my only complaint is I wish the adhesive ring was a little bigger. my first sensor failed bc the adhesive didnt stick well and it fell off. I like the event documentation but I wish it could somehow flag or mark on the glucose graph when you want to indicate maybe a high glucose meal or exercise instead of having to go back to the events and correlate. Also wish the look back was more than 24 h

  50. @briston08 on July 12, 2025 at 8:05 pm

This product is good if you constantly need to check your glucose level. Most Americans already know which foods ( junk food, juices, starches, processed foods, fruit with high sugar content and many more foods โ€ฆ) will spike glucose levels. I use the Stelo, but still use a glucose meter in the morning to check my glucose level. I canceled future subscriptions. To have a healthy lifestyle, you must change your mindset of what you eat. These devices and Glp-1 products are good for short term goals, but if you donโ€™t change your mindset on eating healthy you will gain your weight back and maybe more. Wishing you the best with living a healthy lifestyle.
