Dang man, I’m jealous of the upload speed on the AppleTV. Internet contracts here in Germany have the same speed when downloading, but most upload speeds max out at 50 or 100 Mbit/s, so uploading camera videos to the nas on vacation takes until the vacation ends.

  2. @markevansmoore on May 3, 2025 at 1:24 pm

Ruku is the best it lets you search like it’s a search engine for all the movies across every app on the app store so you can shop around on who has the best prices

    What TV are you using?

  5. @northencail2099 on May 3, 2025 at 1:26 pm

My Roku stick has been struggling for the last three months. I don’t know why I used to be snappy-ISH. After watching videos, I’m gonna get me an Apple TV. 🎉

  6. @TheSodFather09 on May 3, 2025 at 1:28 pm

Apple and Roku have UI from 2006 😂

  7. @pauldavies7407 on May 3, 2025 at 1:29 pm

No video and audio quality info, a miss sorry. For me it’s roku or apple only because I don’t like cluttered interface and reccomendations, for that reason I’ll never buy another firestick makes me crazy

  8. @Goblue734 on May 3, 2025 at 1:30 pm

Hands down the Apple TV is superior I tried the Google streamer it’s trash so laggy when you’re watching shows and I have a Galaxy I’m definitely in the Android ecosystem but Apple TV is still way better even without an iPhone lol

  9. @davidgolden7524 on May 3, 2025 at 1:30 pm

Does any of these devices upscale content on cable apps like youtube tv?

  10. @Cyborgon on May 3, 2025 at 1:34 pm

Thank you for this video, the best comparison for these that ive found on YouTube. Apple is pretty impressive but ive nothing apple, my Chromecast 4k remote stopped working, so i got the Google tv streamer today and its not great, literally within 5 mins the remote crashed, took out the batteries and put them back, then 20mins later it froze again and took ages, even after battery changes, it randomly just started working. But i did notice that it doesn’t have certain apps that my Chromecast had, which i found was bizarre, so im returning it. I like that you showed how the roku worked, but now im torn between it and the fire cube. I have an echo dot and a smart light so i make sense to go Amazon, but the roku just makes me curious even though the download speed you got was in the 400s 😢

  11. @greghull3189 on May 3, 2025 at 1:35 pm

Nice review my friend. Probably the most comprehensive review of the top 2024 streamers I’ve watched.

  12. @Justahandlename on May 3, 2025 at 1:35 pm

Dude my roku remote doesn’t even have a power button

  13. @steve-ey4ol on May 3, 2025 at 1:37 pm

lol prime ain’t gonna be good on Google and I think we all know why

  16. @EverSpaceTime on May 3, 2025 at 1:39 pm

google really screwed the pooch with that wifi 5

  17. @dootwuff5059 on May 3, 2025 at 1:39 pm

Google TV is my favorite, but only because i can kust install whatever launcher i want on it

  18. @buildit478 on May 3, 2025 at 1:40 pm

Roku tv is available on all of them, with the google streamer you have theme and screensavers, it also can find your remote through and Google home device in your house

  19. @ChangWufei on May 3, 2025 at 1:42 pm

I asssume most people aren’t savvy enough to sideload apps onto devices to watch essentially whatever you want. Apple and Roku are a no -go for not having that ability

  20. @Adrian-fy1zx on May 3, 2025 at 1:42 pm

    I prefer Apple TV.

  21. @tommycaldwell6953 on May 3, 2025 at 1:43 pm

Roku is my favorite but I can’t use the built in UI on my Vizio tv. It’s just as fast and it saves that hdmi port for my switch

  22. @1slavic1 on May 3, 2025 at 1:44 pm

Unfortunately, new Google tv Without hands-free mics smart home features is useless

  23. @bose5160 on May 3, 2025 at 1:44 pm

    Actually.

  24. @jason.martin on May 3, 2025 at 1:45 pm

Great review! so with any of these units, you can DL additional apps if need be? such as TUBI if its not there?

  25. @TheRemyRomano on May 3, 2025 at 1:46 pm

I would not recommend the fire box. That came out in late 2022. There’s bound to be a new one coming out very soon that will be much better.

  26. @xAR.Studios on May 3, 2025 at 1:47 pm

    Great video!

  27. @HarryLawson-o3c on May 3, 2025 at 1:49 pm

Dreadful review. So after all the analysis the verdict is ‘Apple because ecosystem’ lol. I could’ve predicted that one, was looking for some widely applicable insight having compared the boxes.

  28. @KinilyOfficialx on May 3, 2025 at 1:49 pm

This isn’t even close to all the devices, even major. Apple is hardly considered to be in the market for competition anymore.

That said, I feel like I’m the odd one out here…
I’m new to these devices, and currently I don’t like any of the offerings.
    A. I don’t like Google nor supporting Google directly.
    B. I prefer Android TV, though stock Android TV has a clunky as heck default UI.
    C. I got an Amazon Fire TV 4K for $21 recently, I feel like it was a terrible purchase. I don’t like the way Amazon forces me to search for my apps.
    D. Roku. I simply don’t like them existing. They’re predatory with their practices.

Am I the only one who feels lost when in this market? Also, is there a device out there with a custom Android TV UI that looks really good and makes things accessible?

  29. @scottadams7523 on May 3, 2025 at 1:49 pm

Having faster Gig Ethernet is a mute point if your Internet is only 1 GB. The bottleneck will always be the Internet. I can have 100 GB ethernet but so what as long as my Internet connection is still only 1 GB.

  30. @richardcerritelli9657 on May 3, 2025 at 1:49 pm

Who cares about all these stupid fancy specs the bottom line if YouTube Amazon video Netflix don’t support 4K video what good is it and a lot of these don’t that should be the most important reason to buy these that’s why Google’s the Nvidia Shield an apple are the best streamers

  31. @krokodilen31 on May 3, 2025 at 1:52 pm

Epoch tv ….. China connection and right wing media…….. 💩

  32. @CodedEnough on May 3, 2025 at 1:53 pm

I prefer Apple TV, and would get it but my TV has Google TV built in so it would kinda be pointless to buy an Apple TV since Google TV does most of the same stuff.

  33. @paulr6122 on May 3, 2025 at 1:53 pm

Man you need to mute the Alexa call-outs.

  34. @richardcerritelli9657 on May 3, 2025 at 1:54 pm

Best ship don’t mean crap like I said before in my comments a streamer means jack shit if Amazon Prime Netflix and YouTube videos don’t support 4K video a lot of these Android streamers have all these fast ship powerful specs but they don’t mean Jack shit cuz I don’t support 4K video on Amazon Prime YouTube Netflix Etc

  35. @allenlundy1 on May 3, 2025 at 1:54 pm

    What routers do you use

  36. @jsr-uz3oj on May 3, 2025 at 1:55 pm

You don’t need 1GB for streaming, and most internet speeds are not 1 GB.

  37. @BenDMitchell on May 3, 2025 at 1:55 pm

With the Roku Ultra, do you get faster speeds via WiFi considering the Ethernet port is limited to 100 Mbps?

  38. @jeffbrunton3291 on May 3, 2025 at 1:58 pm

100 is enough for streaming which is well below that. If you don’t like it you can switch to wireless which is not capped at 100

  39. @jeffbrunton3291 on May 3, 2025 at 1:59 pm

I bought the fire cube because of the usb A that allows you to store and play all your ripped CDs in lossless format. It also includes Dolby atmos

  40. @Mike-t5r9q on May 3, 2025 at 2:04 pm

Has anyone else how a glitch on there google tv streamer where you scrol all the way down to the menu then dashboard reloads to the top again ? Im going to return it and just use my xbox as a media player and stream on that since its the most reliable one and it just works. These dumb boxes/sticks always has a glitch of some sort…..

  41. @ken.matinale on May 3, 2025 at 2:05 pm

I recently bought the latest Roku, which is supposed to be limited to 100 mbps. I thought that meant that it could not download faster than that. But when he ran a WiFi speed test, Roku did over 400 mbps. My Internet service is one gig (1,000 mbps) but I prefer Ethernet wire for stationary things. Should I switch to WiFi for Roku and would that negatively impact my WiFi connected laptop?

  42. @mapa_83 on May 3, 2025 at 2:06 pm

Does anyone know if these remotes are Bluetooth to the box? I.e. do the remotes need line of sight to the box. Thanks

  43. @mattjohnson7835 on May 3, 2025 at 2:09 pm

Apple is going to be hard to jailbreak, where as the Cube is super easy. I am more of a Android guy, mainly because I don’t like companies that lock out most of the operating system.

  44. @carlosgravil3325 on May 3, 2025 at 2:10 pm

    you don’t have the onn!

  45. @philippeterson9512 on May 3, 2025 at 2:14 pm

Is there any love for the TiVo device?

  46. @kylestruble6568 on May 3, 2025 at 2:14 pm

Every google / amazon tv product I’ve had the software gets worse and worse with 3 apps after 2 months I have been using Roku ever since

  47. @richwilson7017 on May 3, 2025 at 2:19 pm

Gigabit speeds are the best! I have a fire stick from 2016. Boy is it slow.

  48. @RobloxJacob99 on May 3, 2025 at 2:21 pm

At the very start he talks Too fast

  49. @christhomas8281 on May 3, 2025 at 2:22 pm

These are all budget priced which is all good, theses boxes all do 95% the same thing but think outside the box when buying ie do you have a Google or an i phone or ring/Amazon product devices that will also work with these boxes.. if you have extra money to spend the Nvidia shield pro is a clear winner with loads of extra features built in

  50. @rogerlopez4007 on May 3, 2025 at 2:22 pm

For me ether apple tv or fire tv
Because they have more stuff and i like how apple tv can connect to your apple device and use airplay, for firetv they almost work on any monitor or tv and I know how to both of them because my older cousin has one and everybody in my family has an firetv.
