I Spent 4-Months Testing Vertical Ergonomic Mice – Here's My Top 5

I Spent 4-Months Testing Vertical Ergonomic Mice – Here's My Top 5

So the question is: Do you spend $30 or $125 on a vertical ergonomic mouse? Does it matter? Will the cheaper one be better or worse? I’ve tested 12 of the most popular vertical ergonomic mice and I’ve got 5 that are worth getting.

Here are the Top 5 along with the Amazon affiliate links:

Logitech MX Vertical Advanced – https://mreh.ca/3TxdjZG
Logitech Lift Vertical – https://mreh.ca/3vq6cds
Kensing Vertical Ergonomic Mouse – https://mreh.ca/4arQ7CK
ProtoArc EM11 Wireless Ergonomic Mouse – https://mreh.ca/49nShTj
DELUX Rechargeable Wireless Mouse* – https://mreh.ca/3TuCtbd OR Perixx PERIMICE-819B Bluetooth Portable Vertical Mouse – https://mreh.ca/3TmDDp2
*I wasn’t able to find this mouse on Amazon.com

For our ranking, I weigh the scores across a multitude of different criteria (15 for vertical ergonomic mice) and wrist pain relief accounts for 35% of the score. If all you care about is wrist relief consider getting the Evoluent Vertical Mouse D. The hand angle is almost 90 degrees so there is no twisting of your forearm at all. Be warned though, it’s the most expensive mouse I’ve tested.

Great video. Would loved to have know which… if any… of these mice has a "tilt wheel". I’m looking to replace my Logitech M510 to an ergo mouse but can’t live without my side-to-side tilt wheel. If anyone has a recommendation please advise. Thanks.

I just bought the logitech lift! I hope it helps my wrist and fingers feel less sore!

  3. @ChaziChaz89 on May 12, 2025 at 3:50 pm

Had to restart the video 3 times because cute dog kept distracting me XD

  4. @bidufree on May 12, 2025 at 3:50 pm

Why would you use the wireless dongle? Well, because not all computers or devices have bluetooth. 🙃

  5. @lifeisbeautiful7361 on May 12, 2025 at 3:50 pm

i can’t take my eyes off of the CUTE DOGGO! <3

My logitech vertical mx died just yesterday after 2 years and 2 months. So here we are..

  7. @nezudomo on May 12, 2025 at 3:51 pm

Logitech MX Vertical is the best vertical mouse I’ve tried, I just wish they made a left handed version. The left handed Lift works fine but is noticeably smaller and lighter than the MX Vertical.

Are these good for someone with carpal tunnel?

  9. @Hannah125i on May 12, 2025 at 3:53 pm

Work bought me an Evoluent 4 several months ago. I haven’t looked back. I bring it home on my WFH days, and and considering getting the D model now,

  10. @new_aether on May 12, 2025 at 3:54 pm

just add the subtitle about what mouse you are talking please

  11. @aniasarwa2 on May 12, 2025 at 3:54 pm

So confused … still dont know which option to choose… i need the vertical one as my wrist is in pain… but most of them dont work on 🍎….

  12. @KingofSanity on May 12, 2025 at 3:55 pm

There is no such thing as the perfect ergonomic just go with whatever stands out to you! Like the Eirix Ergonomic I got from Amazon it’s an RGB lots of diff color lights diff patterns optical mouse that works well for me plus PC mouses these days don’t last that long so go with whatever works and plan ahead before it’s time to replace it.

  13. @grow_english_with_julia on May 12, 2025 at 3:55 pm

I had Logitech Lift and after a year of using it the left click button started to malfunction:( Sometimes it just doesn’t work unless I press strong enough which is very disappointing since it’s pricey and it was a pleasant experience overall

  14. @catherineseifert5243 on May 12, 2025 at 3:58 pm

A note on the protoarc mouse — the link goes to one that does not have RGB lighting 😢 I just got mine in the mail and just noticed that it is the version with no lighting

  15. @peterlawson8563 on May 12, 2025 at 4:00 pm

As always an excellent, video! However, there are 10-15% of the population that aren’t covered here, and, unlike presidential decree, we can’t be made to go away (i hope!)
What would you recommend for a left hander?! With thanks, Peter from Melbourne

  16. @beatz3279 on May 12, 2025 at 4:00 pm

For someone with TOS would you reccomend Logitech lift or something else??

  17. @EconaelGaming on May 12, 2025 at 4:01 pm

Soft rubber coating is in your top 5. Red flag, this isn’t a serious review.

  18. @beatz3279 on May 12, 2025 at 4:01 pm

P.s youre dog is gorgeous ❤

  19. @de.bora_bora on May 12, 2025 at 4:03 pm

Came for the mice, stayed for the dog ❤

  20. @John-ku5to on May 12, 2025 at 4:03 pm

Software for peripherals as a requirement to improve the experience is nearly always a downside to me.

  21. @chudeife5793 on May 12, 2025 at 4:08 pm

    perfect video

  22. @Silverstar3 on May 12, 2025 at 4:09 pm

How long do these mice last because I’ve bought three cheaper ergo mice off amazon and each break (middle spin wheel stops working, or the movement gets slow dead spaces and skips)? Would love to hear about the longevity of the products (at least 3 months of continuous usage).

  23. @wwgg1139 on May 12, 2025 at 4:10 pm

he doesn’t really talk about ergonomics much. just how noisy or how much it costs…

  24. @electronron1 on May 12, 2025 at 4:12 pm

I use X-Mouse button control to program the mouse buttons and this free program can be setup to run different configurations based on the program being accessed at the time. As far as I know there is only a Windows version.

  25. @sabrinamartinez8528 on May 12, 2025 at 4:14 pm

    This was super helpful!

  26. @JuanSanchez-rb4qu on May 12, 2025 at 4:14 pm

I hate that rubbery coating they put on mice now, when it starts wearing out it gets all sticky and gross. Wish it was an option and you could get regular plastic instead.

  27. @colebucket1982 on May 12, 2025 at 4:15 pm

Mice is plural mices might be a word but not how it is being used here. PSA

  28. @sea-ferring on May 12, 2025 at 4:16 pm

This may be privilege but I think anything under $100US is good value

  29. @henrydoctor8997 on May 12, 2025 at 4:17 pm

The dog is a paid actor

  30. @djcmike on May 12, 2025 at 4:18 pm

I got the ProtoArc EM11 but in white. Doesn’t have the rubber coating but a lightly textured surface, meaning it is easy to pick up. I actually prefer it over the Logitech MX Vertical. I have used the MX Vertical for quite a few years, but the rubber coating gets nasty over time and you can’t do anything with it. A real shame >.<

  31. @albertokusmic9239 on May 12, 2025 at 4:19 pm

    Great review, thanks for sharing!

  32. @franciscocustodio9631 on May 12, 2025 at 4:21 pm

Thanx! I got the EM11 from you linked

  33. @alias55 on May 12, 2025 at 4:21 pm

That dog man !!! Hes so damn cute, what is the breed? Oh, great video too

  34. @amirrastgoo9711 on May 12, 2025 at 4:22 pm

Thanks man! You know with AI, now going through YT videos, which the hidden lies of "influencers" might mislead you, is almost useless, but, ur video was great! I just wanted to make sure MX is the best! 🙂

  35. @normanzjames on May 12, 2025 at 4:23 pm

Mices??🤣 mice is already in plural…

  36. @AnomalousCanid on May 12, 2025 at 4:25 pm

do you make your dog sit there just for the video? weird

  37. @omnuu on May 12, 2025 at 4:26 pm

for anyone thinking about getting garbage logitech lift, PLEASE DONT, i had to change it 3 times and the problem still persists, you WILL get a problem on your LMB eventually since this is a flaw in the product design, it may take days, weeks or months but this problem will appear and it will annoy the s out of you.

  38. @codder32 on May 12, 2025 at 4:28 pm

Just bought the Logitech MX Vertical Advanced using your link. Great review, thanks a lot <3

  39. @DyslexicAnaboko on May 12, 2025 at 4:30 pm

Logitech has really been pissing me off lately. I have two of the MX verticals. Both failed on the left click button. It’s defective.

  40. @Gabriel-p9b3d on May 12, 2025 at 4:34 pm

i have the delux one, it costs 11 dollars and it’s very worth it. i don’t experience any pain but it’s a little bit more comfy than normal mice.

  41. @dumbledoratheexplora1140 on May 12, 2025 at 4:36 pm

Does the material on the lift rub off after heavy use at all? Especially around the thumb area?

  42. @MuffinTunes on May 12, 2025 at 4:36 pm

I can confirm, for 2+ years, the Logitech MX has been pretty great. I’m a clarinetist with tendinitis and my endurance is not the best with using a mouse. The weight is great and very stable for my medium-sized hands! 🎵🙌

  43. @Aerobrake on May 12, 2025 at 4:38 pm

definitely taking notes from this video

  44. @mjbmjb812 on May 12, 2025 at 4:40 pm

    Thanks for this great review!
Every Logitech wireless mouse or trackball I have purchased for myself or my wife in the last 15 years has died in 1-2 years. The reasons differ each time, so I just can’t take another swing on their products.

  45. @FabioPereira-dp4bs on May 12, 2025 at 4:41 pm

Don’t buy DELUXE mice. Their scroll just DON’T LAST LONG at all!!!! I’m stating this as a owner who really liked the mouse, but unfortunately it is not reliable.

  46. @zolv on May 12, 2025 at 4:41 pm

00:02 One "mouse", many "mice". And you’ve invented one step forward: many of many "mices" 🙂 Love it
    PS: I’m not native.

  47. @KyleOfTheNorth on May 12, 2025 at 4:41 pm

Your editing and speaking style is way too fast dude. You can let it breathe a little bit.

  48. @epic-buffalo on May 12, 2025 at 4:42 pm

Great video, but am I the only one who does not pick the mouse up more than once a day (maybe even less)?

  49. @jimgravesus on May 12, 2025 at 4:45 pm

That is a mighty fine dog.

  50. @yanchunchew9970 on May 12, 2025 at 4:46 pm

    How’s the dog so chill?
