Great video. Surprised the Project 5 speakers didn´t make it into one of the systems. Your review of them said that they were stellar. BTW, Kristi won. You need speaker stands!
The vast majority of mid tier Klipsch speakers use the very cheapest available components in poorly designed crossovers, creating large holes in the frequency response. Many have the horn loaded tweeters far out of phase with the woofers. They usually feature poorly braced cabinets with a lot of resonance. There are many better sounding options especially if you value detail and a proper soundstage. They can be very tiring to listen to. Mr. Robinson, what if any is your relationship with Klipsch?

Okay, I bought a sl1200 MK2 and I was gift a luxman r-117 which I’ve heard is an amazing receivers, both are about $1000 so I was thinking I should spend about 1000$ on speakers, I want vintage but I’m okay with anything at this point because I bought my vivids for $50 it’s my biggest bottle neck.

I find myself rewatching and sharing this every time a friend comes over to listen to some vinyls. Happened again recently. I wonder if these options would change if yall do it again this year or perhaps a 5.1/5.2 under $3000 (Apologies if you did and I missed it).
Side note: Thank you for making me more open to soundbars. I try to leave my preconceptions at the door, but I had a hard time dropping my disapproval of soundbars driven by experiences yearsss ago. It’s time to try again.

That Sony Strdh-190 is awesome receiver at 150 dollars it can’t be beat, incredible sound, great Bluetooth. You can hook up CD player, turntable etc
