I personally don’t find such a universal adapter handy because it is quite big and especially heavy (200+ grams). A charger of the country(ies) you are going to (60 grams each) is much better to take with you if you are traveling with only hand luggage.
Maybe something went wrong in time but do you know your small tripod link takes you to a $400 item? I don’t think that was your intention. Thanks!
The adapter brand you mentioned as universal adapter listed on Amazon says they don’t work in Asia such as Nepal India Sri Lanka Etc . Do you have a recommendation for a nice adapter to be used by American traveling to India n Nepal ? Thanks
Over the ear headphones get too hot for me if I wear them for awhile
Backpack? – take a hike.
Don’t get swallowed up by the Luggage Rabbit Hole 🕳️ 🐇
Awesome advice. New Subscriber!
Static comes from electric dryer. In other country it is gaz dryer. So , they do not have static !
Everything here is so basic
Let’s $130! Dude , even the othe backpack compared to tomtoc was crazy expensive- feels like you are just profiting off this channel and not really giving good value/price items. For $130 options are endless
Strange question since you mention the Unbound Merino and shirts you can wear about 3 days – but if you are a hairy guy and sweat a lot; how do these work for 3 days without washing?? Not sure about how fresh they would be.

First… LOVE the content 😊. But… outside the US no one has a dryer??? You sure?
or Galaxy tag if you are an Android-User.
So much good knowledge shared in a succinct way! Cheers!
As a hobby photographer carry on only just won’t work for me. My 10kg camera bag it’s normally my carry on
I like to use the Osprey Aoede 21L Commuter Airspeed Backpack
I watched this video and immediately realized I’ve been packing like a hoarder. Time to embrace the one-bag life in 2025 😂
Going to get the tomtoc. Because I only travel a few times a year and I hate checking. I will wear merino clothes and wash every day if I can and carry a packable day bag for day trips. Comfy leather sneakers and slippers. One jacket for layering. I got my bf into merino clothes and he’s now a convert.
Dude, Lems are game changers. Their barefoot shoes are so damn comfortable. Wore mine to Japan the last 2 trips and doing 10+ miles a day was no problem.
My favorite travel hack is pouch style water containers, basically a rigid plastic bag with a water bottle topper. Pack down to nothing when not in use and has a clip for the side of my bag when full.
So, when is unbound’s bigger once a year sale?
i am so jealous of men. as a woman. i need a bras, bulkier shoes to look cute or be appropriate for work, make up, hair styling stuff, feminine hygiene, a nicer backpack/handbag, skin care to not come back with sunburn or acne, the birth control pill, medication for period craps, blister band aids, personal secruity items like a door stopper…i hate being a woman 😒
Excellent channel. Critical information and so well organized for quick product links, channels for target information etc. Great job. Keep up the great content.
Hi. I like your vidio about traveling. Thanks for all tips, but mostly products what you recommend little prices. I’m retired person not young like you, but some items is very interesting and needs. I will email you about my personal packing list will be very interesting looks your vs to my. Probably my will be more biggest
😂.
List
I found on our last trip that I struggle with bringing all of our electronics with their cords and plug-ins. We had 2 electronic cord bags plus some loose in my personal bag. What can I do to cut down on this? For example……2 tablets, 2 phones, samsung watch, extra batteries, earphones x 2, noise machine, etc. I was overwhelmed just packing all the cords for all our electronics. PS we are samsung users
On the bag spreadsheet front you may want to add two lines for EasyJet. In Europe EJ is the go to airline (along with RyanAir 🤮) for many people and you can opt for Speedy Boarding and take an extra large cabin bag or pay extra for a large cabin bag. With the extra large cabin bag and a small carry on you can carry on a lot of stuff.
Great video BTW
Just had to take a moment out of my crazy day to say that you are such a great speaker Nik…the way you deliver information is excellent. And, it doesn’t hurt that you remind me of a younger Michael J. Fox…whom I adore. Keep up the great work and take care of that beautiful family.
Too much peak design products 👎👎
When is unbound merino having their sales?
As a men you dont travel with all items a woman or teenager may need , would you wife girlfriend agree with you or may one video for best bags for women
Great video. Is the peak design travel backpack 45L the one in your video? Are both sizes airline compatible? Flying UA soon
A simple method of reducing static is to get your hands wet then rub them on the clothes you’re wearing. Not enough water to soak anything, but does the job. Also, some people are chemically sensitive to the fragrances of dryer sheets and have a negative reaction.
@awaytogether
Your like my travel therapist😊✈ your previous video on people not caring about where you go made me want to subscribe. My boyfriend gifted me a trip to Thailand this September as a Christmas gift. We’re travelling to 3 locations, Khao Lak, Krabi and Phuket.🏞🏝We are UK based and we’ll be stopping off halfway instead a straight flight to Thailand. Do you have any tips on what the best debit card/cash advise whilst in Thailand?
Sorry, not rich enough to buy Unbound Merino clothing.
Very helpful video. Thanks!
the mic you are using i have a same microphone, but i have to travel to another country for my studies can i take that mic with me in flight
I don’t really see why toiletry bag or tech pouch need any compartments (which add weight). Surely they can get a bit messy, and for example scissors need something extra so that they don’t cut through other things, but they need a special thing for that anyway.
Its nice to see another guy named Nik with the same spelling as my own! I appreciate the video and information within. I am starting to save and plan for a trip to Scotland in a couple years with my kiddo and mom. I really love the idea of minimalism so a one bag approach is great! I was curious about laundry so its good to know finding a dryer may be a challenge haha
I travel with an electric razor and a beard trimmer. Rather than carry the manufacturers’ bulky charging cords, I have purchased compatible USB cords for each. No matter where I am, I can charge these items through a USB adapter suited for the country I am visiting. This saves a little space in packing and never requires special adapters or converters.
Your packing list link is no longer working
Sleep clothes ??? What are you like seven years old ?
I do not understand the concept of travel cubes. What happens to dirty laundry, do you pack your dirty stuff in with your clean stuff, won’t that smell up your "clean" clothing? Do you pack each day in a cube, if so, how do you know the weather for each day in advance? As for vacuum bags, I reach weight limits before I reach volume limits, I see no use to vacuum bags.
How long does Unbound Merino clothing hold up? I’ve had negative experiences with the abrasion resistance of merino. I’m specifically wondering about shirts (ts and button downs) as well as pants.
There is no way $90 for a t-shirt is worth it. I don’t care if it was made from the hair of the donkey Jesus rode into Jerusalem on
Tomtoc has the exact copy on Temu that cost 3 times less! Have you ever tried them? Is it the same quality? Judging by pictures it looks exactly the same 😮
Here in Asia, I made the mistake of packing a rain jacket. In places with high humidity, you’ll be as wet inside the rain jacket as it is outside of it. Instead, most people just use an umbrella.
Virtually everything in your list, from Monos rolling carry-ons to the Eagle Creek packing cubes to Owala FreeSip water bottles, are the same as mine. But I’ve got to mention that I’m also an Apple iPhone/MacBook user, but refuse to pay “Apple tax” for any accessories such as WL earbuds and/or noise-canceling headphones, AirTags, chargers, etc. Do your research and you’ll find cross-platform alternatives working equally well w/Android cells, ChromeBook & Windows PCs, but with superior features and performance: AKG wireless earbuds, Sennheiser (or Sony) NC headphones, Pebblebee BT locators, portable power banks or Qi wireless chargers, etc.; all of these better, more flexible, and substantially cheaper! Thx.
Will take your video as reference. Most of the item in your list are pretty pricey for someone like me coming from Asian country, but nevertheless will look for alternative. Just not the backpack, those are solid and worth spending on! But for pant I’ll prefer cargo pant than shorts. Looking at whether should I get a rain jacket for the backpack
