Looks like his beard is still loading😅
Thanks for the video. But a huge difference is that a hub generally duplicates the same signal into 2 or 3 port. That means if you plug 2 monitors to a hub, it will duplicate the same display output on all screens. I see misleading sellers marketing hubs like dock stations. A duck station on the otherside will talk to your OS and give you more independent display port. For example a computer with only one USB C display port, can generate 3 new ports and you can plug 3 monitors on the docker and have each screen displaying it own output from other
Yeah, this doesn’t explain the difference… Im gonna call it clickbait.
i appreciate the straight to the point. thanks!
So basically a dock allows you to connect something which doesnt have the right port type for your main computer
As prior service military, I can say that we have very similar friends. 😂🤣😂🤣
Great video, and I got the point very quickly. Could be a bit brighter where you’re recording though haha
Bro’s face LOD didn’t load in properly
I’m looking for something to charge my tablet while it is connected to my HDMI to type C. to charge and connect to my TV, which is the one I need for that? I’m seeing so many types of hubs but I don’t know which is the one I need. I just need to charge my tablet while it is connected for streaming to my TV. my complex only has satalite internet and casting to the TV and WiFi can get very jumpy, but through the type c to HDMI is wear works, but I also bed to charge my tablet while I connect to the TV, which is the best for that? I could really use some advice before I buy the wrong one. thank you in advance.
what happened to your beard??? Piss your wife off?
You never answered the question ? How many monitors will you be able to add ?
Good day im looking to a hub or dock that can multi connect a webcam for streaming what should i buy or look for , Thank you very much for the response
Thumbs down for being Apple-centric. Oh, and for having that dumb facial hair.
My laptop only has 1 hdmi out port. No C out port. Can I connect Duel monitors?
The difference? 30Hz.
100w pd is the minimum to charge and use computer
Great video. My question that I haven’t been able to find an answer to is, "Does connecting one or more external storage drive get compromised when connected to a hub/dock due to having so many other peripherals sharing the same 1 connector to the machine?" If anyone can provide me that answer, I would appreciate it. My concern is that my data gets corrupted or lagged as other devices try to communicate with the machine at the same time.
The AI left half his moustach out
If we connect external hdds in the ports, will computer detect all hdds ?

I bought a 4k 60hz hub and my phone is 120hz and im gonna connect my phone to a 240hz oled monitor is it compatible to connect?
Hello! Does the OWC Thunderbolt 4 HUB have inteligent dynamic power? or does just the OWC Thunderbolt 4 DOCK have that feature?
Do you need externsl power for a dock on Imac M1???
No one really explaining that .
I.m thinking « no «!
Macbook pro w M1 , yes , because of the battery .
Am I wrong or right ?
Thanks for this video and if anyone knows the external power supply question on an Imac , please explain it for me like I,m a 5 year old kid .
Love mac 🎼🎼🎼🎵🎵🎙️🙏🏻❤️👍🏻
Hello! Does anyone know whether a dock uses the laptop’s gpu to power the connected 4k monitors? (windows user here)
0:33 THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION.
Lights, lights, lights
I have no idea about anything you said I was focused on your mustache 😂
Whst a lot of waffle. I was more confused by the end.
Dude, you’re missing part of your mustache. What’s up with that? Having razor issues? Confused?
Excellent! OWC has always been very helpful!
I didn’t get the difference 😂
A Docking Station with WiFi connectivity to the internet and wireless connection to the laptop would be handy.
Is there such a beast?
Now I know how to make my wife listen to me. Just cut off a quarter of my mustache.
Can I connect an SD card to the SD card port and a Hard drive to the USB port and transfer files from SD card to Hard drive directly?
I just bought Mac Pro 2019 Desktop Computer from OWC and bought a Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt Adapter for my 27 inch Mac Monitor that came out in 2011. This type of Adapter is not working for Monitor
Thank you, this was very informative. You answered most of my questions. I have one more though
Would the dock featured in this video add display alt mode capability to a phone that does not have it? As in, could I connect this to my phone and then connect the monitor via the dock through the other usbc port? Thanks!
Good Video but Lightening is low.
Best option for m1 mac?
I have a weintek hmi that writes to usb stick or hd i want to connect to the hd or stick to extract the information over lan will any of these device be able to do that ?
This video could be over in 7 seconds: 0:26 – 0:33
A dock has a power charger its big, a hub is bus powered is small, period.
I gotta say. I love your beard. Thanks for being a great orator.
Can this be used for a gaming pc?
Roob Land
I’ll be asking this in comments to a few videos about USB hubs and docks.
I’ll be using this with my tower PC so I can have on my desk a couple of USB A ports and a USB C port to provide charging and data transfer to my phone.
I’ve got a 100 Watt charger to power the hub through the PD USB C port they all seem to have.
Obviously, I don’t need power delivered to my PC.
Will my PC have any issue with a powered hub connected to it’s USB C all the time?
The 7 year old PC’s motherboard is an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon.
Thanks
If 0:32 is right and a dock just has multiple connection types and no other differences, this video was helpful. Anything past that point in the video turned into an ad and my mind shut it off, so I hope I didn’t miss something.
Bro why the video is in dark mode 😢😅
I wanna connect a webcam, capture card, and microphone to my Mac. I also need an ethernet and a hdmi. I think I need a powered hub because of all the devices. Which ‘powered ‘hub can I buy that has a minimum of: 3 usb, 1 ethernet and 1 hdmi? Im searching for a long time but I don’t really have the knowledge so a reaction would help very much 🙂
I won’t get any buzzz
_I am useless pretty much when it comes to expanding my new laptop. I only have 2 usb ports and want to expand it. 🎹🎶 I make music so I need several and looks like the hub in the choice. 🔥✨ Thanks for the quick and straight-to-the-point video!_
