Do Posture Corrector Devices Really Work?

Do Posture Corrector Devices Really Work?

Postural correction devices are popular, however, do they really work? Are there reasons not to use them? Should everyone use them to improve posture?

In this video, Dr. O’Guin will go over his thoughts on posture correction devices and some alternatives to using them.

Hi, I’m really worried about my neck because when I tilt my head back and touch my neck I can feel my spine slightly poking out and the rest of my neck going the other way, if you know what I mean. Is this normal?

    Hi Jeff ..!
I’m a professional who used to sit in front of my laptop for 5 to 6 hrs per day and I’m suffering from Kyphosis. Kindly suggest whether to use any posture corrector for this.

Thanks. Great video. Question. I was thinking of getting a certification in posture specialist. My question is do you think those certifications in posture analysis and correction are worth it and if so is there one that our recommend. I am a running coach and find that most running injuries are related to imbalances in the kinetic chain that are being pushed past their limits. Appreciated you time.

I haver cervical vertigo in my neck that causes dizziness and walking off balance. As I was watch a recent Documentary on YouTube about the late Whitney Houston, a commercial ad came on about the Truefit posture corrector. I was about to order this but my inner soul told me to do research before wasting my money in these hard economic times with high food and gas prices. I am glad I came across this video and other videos saying, these posture corrector devices are useless.

What if I wear my posture corrector to the gym while I’m working out and exercising and building all of my chest and back muscles?

The corrector device shines in helping you recover from a pulled back muscle, for which I use it for while working. I heard the term it is good for reminding you how you should perform a motion while engaging my muscles. In this I am grateful for it.

People always want an easy fix. You just need to put in the work with the exercises.

Gives me second thoughts about buying one of those posture correction devices .

  35. @caymanhilldesigns453 on April 10, 2025 at 12:25 pm

They dont hold you in that position. You can still easily slouch…. Its just more comfortable to pull your shoulders back while wearing it. Its a trainer. Meaning you use you own muscles.
