I like the way ifixit extender miss magnet (shrugs)

  2. @Warshava_ on June 17, 2025 at 6:22 pm

going from a cheap chinese screwdriver set to iFixit most basic tool kit was light and day. Cheap bits are really fragile and the smaller philips bits ended up rounded with normal use. iFixit bits are super durable and it has been the one screwdriver i use for everything since. I do keep the cheap one around since it has more bits variety than the kit i have and the screwdriver itself has a better grip for thighter screws

  3. @grazie375 on June 17, 2025 at 6:23 pm

with this kit you can fux up your stuff instead of fixing it!

  4. @kosteliuks on June 17, 2025 at 6:24 pm

I have the exact same chinese kit. Event in the same colour. Been using it for camera repair for the past 9 years.

  5. @noviancasper on June 17, 2025 at 6:25 pm

It also depends on who you want to spend your money on. Ifixit for right to repair, or some random business person that the money just goes in their pocket.

  6. @jellyfith on June 17, 2025 at 6:27 pm

Screwdriver link is broken. Shame I was going to grab that.

  7. @aquilazyy1125 on June 17, 2025 at 6:28 pm

0:43 Ok iFuxit but why does youtube closed caption know this word?

  8. @omaral-shaikh9919 on June 17, 2025 at 6:29 pm

The problem with ifixit if I order it internationally they charge me 40$ !!!!!
    Can you imagine that!!!
    So I prefer the cheaper
I tried to buy but i will not accept to be charged 40$ for delivery

    iFixit vs iFuktit

  11. @moqube on June 17, 2025 at 6:33 pm

Would have liked to see them actually try to use the tools to test them. How about showing that the suction cups are crap instead of just saying so.

  12. @1plus68hehe on June 17, 2025 at 6:34 pm

I bought a kit from Temu and the bits were backwards compatible with iFixit’s. It actually has come in quite handy with some of the things I’ve fixed

  13. @RaineErasmusWalker on June 17, 2025 at 6:35 pm

Great video. I’m constantly working on expanding my kit with professional grade tools that are not cheap chinkware. I’ll be replacing my current set with iFixit!

  14. @howardlam6181 on June 17, 2025 at 6:37 pm

The rubber and the metal will soon detach and when you try to unscrew you just rotate the rubber part without moving the metal part. Complete garbage

  15. @amitghosh6966 on June 17, 2025 at 6:39 pm

Are Jakemy and Jackly from same company ?

  16. @jakubkolcar6789 on June 17, 2025 at 6:39 pm

This is bullshit review. You didnt compare the quality of the screwdriver bits. The chinesum ones will tear apart after screwing one harder screw. The ifixit ones will last you years. And yes, before ifixit, I had numerous chinesium precision drivers kits. All of them ended after few uses in trash, cause both flat and philips bits got destroyed by two uses.

  17. @ta985 on June 17, 2025 at 6:40 pm

I still cant get over missing "uFoxit" as the name for the selfmade kit…. wonder how it holds up to the actual LTT precision screwdriver 👀

  18. @Exstaz on June 17, 2025 at 6:40 pm

I miss Emily. Should show your self on videos again!

  19. @jeboin1977 on June 17, 2025 at 6:41 pm

Well with the LTT screwdriver kit in mind Would the review be the same in 2023 ?

  20. @leftovercode on June 17, 2025 at 6:43 pm

Imho i think ifixit are slightly overpriced, slighty better than cheap kits, all the pry tools are very overpriced and using a black lid to hold black screws is stupid. Also the bitset box is nasty. The bit selection is very good. 6-10

  21. @johndododoe1411 on June 17, 2025 at 6:44 pm

You say that iFixit kit can disassemble anything. But I didn’t see any tools that can unscrew the bolts holding together a floor mounted 19" rack or a Tesla car.
Anyways, being in Europe, I have used a lot of tools from hardware stores, including a screw kit that’s only slightly more upmarket than that Chinese kit, a professional bits kit using 1/4 " bits and matching handles (bought at an electronics parts store that’s like a 1980s Radio Shack), plus of cause regular screwdrivers, bits holders, wrenches and knives. Only in the past year or so have iFixit branded kits become available locally.

  22. @DaKussh on June 17, 2025 at 6:45 pm

Yeah, a bunch of chinesium cheap tools see how long the iFuxit kit lasts, even the iFixit driver bits aren’t that good of a quality I can’t imagine how something from Aliexpress would fare in comparison.

  23. @daonlybrandon on June 17, 2025 at 6:49 pm

The orange kit i bought it in Hobby Lobby for $8 lmao

  24. @alikhan-mk2le on June 17, 2025 at 6:49 pm

But one of the main reasons I always suggest to buy from. I fix it is because they promote and they fight for your right to repair items and they’re one of the biggest people that do that out there. So that’s why I suggest purchasing it so the money can help them do that

  25. @devinddst7467 on June 17, 2025 at 6:50 pm

    Paid 15 bucks for a 150 kit. I ain’t spending 75 on ifixit

  26. @RosebudsRosebud666 on June 17, 2025 at 6:50 pm

  28. @hamishthecat4370 on June 17, 2025 at 6:56 pm

I just received my Ifixit Manta kit today. MADE IN CHINA.

  29. @caseysimon2569 on June 17, 2025 at 6:56 pm

Oh boy, I’m here 5 years later after just ordering the new LTT precision driver set. I remember watching this one!

  30. @kasonmayberry on June 17, 2025 at 6:57 pm

I personally based my kit around an ifixit kit and then supplemented it with other tools from various brands

  31. @x69r_w on June 17, 2025 at 6:58 pm

7:20 bro I’m a dentist I have those in every corner of my house lol

    iFuxit💀

  36. @AdmiralTymothysLootChest on June 17, 2025 at 7:03 pm

I can attest to the lifetime warranty. I broke the tips off of those those ESD safe tweezers, and they sent me 3 replacement sets of tips *and* a new pair of the same tweezers. All they wanted was proof that I actually had the kit (they just wanted a picture of the kit)

  37. @zojirushi1 on June 17, 2025 at 7:04 pm

How does this compare with the strebito toolkit?

  38. @raymondhachmishvili2483 on June 17, 2025 at 7:04 pm

    jakemy are best cheap tools

  39. @competetodefeat4610 on June 17, 2025 at 7:04 pm

"The Chinese tools we shill vs other Chinese tools" Fixed the title.

  40. @Radi0he4d1 on June 17, 2025 at 7:05 pm

I bought a $2 mini screwdriver set in Chinatown once, the bits STRIPPED off the screws on a smartwatch. I’ve just sanded them down and kept going lmao

  41. @dismaldunc on June 17, 2025 at 7:05 pm

my sad old man eyes thought Linus was wearing an inflatable lifejacket 😝

  42. @jaydenka5892 on June 17, 2025 at 7:05 pm

Jakemy also have a suction tool that is better than ifixits

  43. @MrAce5022 on June 17, 2025 at 7:05 pm

4:54 its magnetic and recessed so when you’re starting a screw, it doesn’t fall out/off

  44. @wybuchowyukomendant on June 17, 2025 at 7:10 pm

I have a $10 set of precision bits from Ali, 2 years of daily work and still going strong

  45. @aquilafasciata5781 on June 17, 2025 at 7:11 pm

So weird to see Linus promoting someone else’s underwear looking back.

  46. @VicMorrowind on June 17, 2025 at 7:11 pm

You didnt test the quality of the bits.

  47. @MesasYouTube on June 17, 2025 at 7:12 pm

Can I use a security torx on a normal torx screw?

  48. @BrianClunie on June 17, 2025 at 7:15 pm

You had me at, ifuxit kit!

  49. @OnTheEdgex23 on June 17, 2025 at 7:15 pm

    That AliExpress screwdriver kit sucks

  50. @kevinhannstein2340 on June 17, 2025 at 7:17 pm
