Hate to break it to you, we’ve been using Machine learning effectively for 20 years at least. Heck, the YouTube algorithm uses machine learning, and has for at least a decade. Certainly as long as Google has had it.
Ai is only a "necessary" part of their business in the minds of investors. Nobody wants AI man. But its everywhere. You can avoid it. I fucking hate it.
“Necessary” its only going to be necessary and niche fields. Past that it’s only going to be “necessary” to keep rich people rich and fuq the lower and middle class who are already screwed.

No signs of slowing down ??? AI development is at dead end. There are no research paths left, all *REAL* IA research projects have been stopped/paused. They all came into conclusion AI research can no longer be advanced without production ready Quantum computers. And advancement on quantum computers is extremely slow. It is about same difficulty ars clod fusion: we can get it working for in Trillion dollar laboratory for few seconds and astronomical cost but it is no where near usable. All of the Quantum Computer break throughs are, like the microsoft one, are just lies to boost stock prices and get funding.
Just because every company is shoe horning in ai stuff doesn’t mean that there has been any benefit of it for regular people and only seems to benefit profits of companies that would rather not pay humans (well frame gen and upscaling is probably the only good consumer application for it but it seems to be replacing actual hardware innovation and power increases )
AI will still fail as it will replace workers if no one working no one can afford there products. So they will fail as a company and we can hopefully go back to normal without AI.
Linus can’t help but get a good Tesla dig in. That self driving took me all the way to Las Vegas and back from the coast twice last month and it drives me to work and back three times a week without issue. So, no, it isn’t fraud.
I’m not sure if this is supposed to be sarcastic since the "AI" in the products they showed is either not good or heavily confined in a human designed environment.
AI is still just a toy and can’t really be used for actual production ready things without a lot of manual human work in which case you might as well have the humans design the system as that would most likely be faster and more reliable.
