– ABOUT THIS VIDEO –
If you’re always on the move and need a reliable storage option, consider investing in one of the best portable SSDs! Although they may be more expensive than portable hard drives, their popularity is on the rise, and prices are dropping. The unique advantages of having an external solid-state drive that you can easily carry with you make it a worthy investment despite the expense.

While external hard drives are still a budget-friendly option, portable SSDs offer a wealth of benefits. They’re great for expanding your laptop’s storage capacity, securing sensitive files, or having important data with you at all times. So, if you want to enhance your storage game and enjoy the convenience of a portable SSD, it’s definitely worth the investment.

Don’t watch this, do proper research sandisk and samsung have massive scale issues. They racing to the bottom to keep their market share they pay for with the advertising and shelving space they pay for.

How can you name this "Best External SSDs 2025" when it was posted a year ago.

  4. @lawofaverages5373 on December 31, 2024 at 6:14 pm

For the price of one of those sandisks you could purchase a new Mac Mini M4 and just bring that with you. Nice portable drives but the prices are just ridiculous. Only the ‘money to burn crowd…..’

  5. @HillAHawk on December 31, 2024 at 6:14 pm

Thanks your best overall pick was the same one that was mentioned to me earlier today. Thanks for that confirmation.

This video is just advertsiment. A WARNING: The sandisk ssd drives have design faults due to cramped space soldering. These drives are failing everywhere. DO NOT BUY THEM.
shame on you Valid Consumer" for not changing your video due to this world wide longer known sandisk information.

Wow! You really did your homework on external SSD drives! I just might buy one. Some are more affordable than I thought, so I’m deciding which to buy. However, since funds are limited right now I may wait. Thanks for the info!

“Cache” is pronounced the same as “cash.” The unrelated French word “cachet” has a completely different meaning.

I had two external Toshiba SSDs (1tb each) and they been working fine so far with no issues at all. Spend about 40 quid per SSD so if you willing to pay that price maybe give it a shot?

  18. @hongkongcitywalk on December 31, 2024 at 6:32 pm

    ❤❤

  19. @R2DHue on December 31, 2024 at 6:34 pm

FUUUU my SanDisk is on its way 🤬🤬🤬🤬

  22. @AdventuresInTheSky on December 31, 2024 at 6:38 pm

Went with the Samsung T7 Shield, $110 off at Best Buy right now. Better not lose data! Like what has been reported with the Sandisk. Costco sells the Sandisk 2TB, wonder if those ones are having any issues.

Please suggest me the better brand for an SSD.
    THANK YOU

  26. @AzariaAerialsLLC on December 31, 2024 at 6:42 pm

I have never had an issue with SanDisk. 🤞🏾

  27. @RomboutVersluijs on December 31, 2024 at 6:45 pm

You should add a disclaimer about the issues with the wcandisodrive. Also why didn’t you show a price for #1?

  28. @yODAlabûche on December 31, 2024 at 6:46 pm

Does anyone knows how to get these lost data back ?!

  29. @losamigosmarket6514 on December 31, 2024 at 6:46 pm

    Very noisy load volume music

  30. @JCD87 on December 31, 2024 at 6:49 pm

Pro Tip; dont buy the sandisk ultra and pro versions. The components can come off the NVME PCB (board) and will result in dataloss. Do not let yourself be fooled that this was/is an firmware issue. That is hardware failure. I built an external SSD using a standard M2 2280 drive with an usb housing. So you can choose yourself which SSD and capacity you want or need. And no real knowledge of computers is required.

  31. @mudbander8232 on December 31, 2024 at 6:50 pm

Can i use external ssd to handheld pc like rog ally

  32. @randymorrison5513 on December 31, 2024 at 6:50 pm

I don’t want any of them. My spaceship has a data control device. That’s only as big as a 3/4 of a micron. And it can store 10,000,000,000×1,000,000,000 MB. And it can transfer information in a parse in a. Quarter of nanometer. and besides that it’s in a color that you can’t see because you are human beings on this earth and only people like me can see the color that it is yeah so don’t buy any of them buy mine. It’s only $.12 yeah in the last 10 billion years and it has and it has a laserbeam transfer port that hooks to the mothership in a transfer so much information hasn’t even been written yet in this whole galaxy yeah it’s really cool

  33. @joelspicher590 on December 31, 2024 at 6:51 pm

Samsung is better on drop and ip rating than sandisk to big company and popular for memory drives

  38. @dkdj5 on December 31, 2024 at 6:57 pm

But which one won’t loose my data. They all have a 5% failure rate!

  39. @tha_mexikan1752 on December 31, 2024 at 6:58 pm

  45. @НикитаНемогучев on December 31, 2024 at 7:03 pm

Crucial is garbage because after cache will be depleted — speed will be 20mbs or snth like that.

My Sandisk extreme crapped out after a couple of uses. Doesn’t get recognised anymore, apparently lots of people have the same problems. I’m switching to Samsung.
