I would say look into an Acer Nitro 5 for a budget, entry level gaming laptop. You might have to turn the settings down on some games but it’s pretty decent.

I have a 3060, 4800h, 2tb, 32gb, 17" 144hz panel rog strix. It was really good price and still holds up in modern games 3 years later, upgraded to 4tb, and I’ve repasted and cleaned it, works better than new ngl.

    "at least its portable doe"

  18. @DaltonWagoner on January 6, 2025 at 6:50 pm

I have a msi gf63 thin 15.6 with a 3050 rtx but I have also tweaked some stuff so mine is not just straight out of the box. I have 2 terabytes and 32 gb of ram soooo.. over all my stuff can run on all high graphics and have fun and no problems but it still has some issues so if any one has some other recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

  19. @Quik371 on January 6, 2025 at 6:50 pm

İ have the victus but mine has the 4060

  20. @alephcake on January 6, 2025 at 6:50 pm

gaming laptops are honestly not fucking worth it at all, its either good performance but lots of noise and heat or good temps and quiet but shitty performance, and in both cases the battery sucks, even if you have a laptop with a mux switch that runs the display on igpu your battery will last maybe 4-5 hours, honestly I’ll wait for igpus to become better, stuff like 780m and 890m is extremely impressive but imagine if igpu would be able to do something like 1080ti performance, honestly that’d be enough for a laptop

  21. @souhaib_gamer69 on January 6, 2025 at 6:51 pm

its fun listening to him complain about 3050 when im still using my 1060 gtx laptop which is like 9 years old now

  25. @Friendly_Neighborhood_Dozer on January 6, 2025 at 6:55 pm

Laptops are inherently poor price to performance.

    They trade performance for portability.

So you want a good price to performance while being portable and the whole thing includes a keyboard, screen and touchpad.

Aka way more features (one of which doesn’t align with performance already) for the same price as a desktop

  33. @arthurbissi on January 6, 2025 at 7:02 pm

keep in mind the gpu on laptops are worse than the normal ones

  34. @oofbanana5734 on January 6, 2025 at 7:05 pm

The value is still bad but you also pay for speakers , screen, keyboard

  35. @mechaboy95 on January 6, 2025 at 7:06 pm

A secondhand MacBook m1 can sometimes go for ~$1000 and they can play some games well but it’s kinda pushing it

  36. @beaniebean4885 on January 6, 2025 at 7:09 pm

I’m completely fine with 1080, 100 fps. I was an Overwatch switch player, I’ll take anything

  37. @fadya.3660 on January 6, 2025 at 7:12 pm

If you’re comparing “value” to what you get for the same price to performance on a PC, you’re pretending portability and convenience has zero value. The performance you get on a PC should cost more on a laptop because you’re paying for convenience too, not to mention not needing peripherals.

  38. @vrgamer9987 on January 6, 2025 at 7:13 pm

    Microcenter.

  46. @KendallGarza-m7y on January 6, 2025 at 7:27 pm

You have to factor in the price of the monitor with the numbers

  47. @the_irs_real on January 6, 2025 at 7:29 pm

there was an asus tuf a15 with a 4050 on sale on amazon for 500 dollars a while back

  48. @aidanrzeszuto4402 on January 6, 2025 at 7:30 pm

For “budget” pc’s you’re almost better off going the route of buying a handheld pc. Only way you’ll get justifiable performance for a reasonable price 🤷🏼‍♂️ in my opinion

  49. @Galaxzeey on January 6, 2025 at 7:30 pm

Just buy a steam deck if you just want gaming then connect it to a monitor

  50. @Sushijamie on January 6, 2025 at 7:32 pm

do not forget that you also get a monitor, keybord, speakers and a mouse
