Note, the Bellroy Lite 16 inch doesn’t fit the MacBook Pro 16 inch 2023. I watched this review and a few others. Even on the Bellroy website it says it fits. However, when I received it, it’s tight up to the zip and on the pull tab corner, it catches the base/rear of the zip on the Mac. Not something you want for a Β£3k device. I watched this video back and missed that the MacBook is a 13 inch in this demo, so it fits. It’s a shame, it would have been great for my use.

Bellroy customer service were great though and it’s on its way back to them, with a refund. Back on the lookout for something suitable.

Hey everyone.Sorry to take this conversation in a slightly different direction but I need recommendations for a decent portable monitor.

Looking for 14"-16", lightweight, and preferably under $200. There are plenty of options that meet those criteria so this is more about narrowing it down to those brands that you all have had a good experience with.

I figure if anyone can offer some suggestions, it’s the people who watch Aaron’s awesome reviews! Thanks for your help!

-MacBooks only have 8% global laptop market share
-99.9% of corporations, small businesses, educational institutions, government agenices, and nonprofit across the planet use Windows laptop.
-For these reasons, it would be very useful to include Windows laptops in your demonstrations.

too much. these don’t even have a place for your charger

    Great slashes of sleeve mate.!

  8. @attilazimler1614 on December 31, 2024 at 6:36 pm

The water resistant part of the nomatic is actually shown on the wandrd – I wondered why? Have you missed up the shots? It’s easy to see , because the wandrd integration rubberbandy things are on the front – and the nomatic does not have that front.

  9. @nHanXciiE on December 31, 2024 at 6:36 pm

Why does laptop sleeves dont include pockets for the chargers?

  10. @teslaock6043 on December 31, 2024 at 6:38 pm

I have a WANDRD case and I use it in a very different way as a stand. Rather than the "top" part folding outward, I turn it inward underneath the laptop to make a bit of a wedge. It’s stable, comfortable and useful. You may want to re-visit your assessment as a stand. Enjoy your posts!

Hey there! Thanks for sharing this detailed overview of different laptop sleeves. It’s super helpful to have these options laid out with their pros and cons. I’m particularly interested in the Bellroy laptop sleeve for its sleek design and the Rush Faster laptop sleeve for its minimalist approach.

However, before making a decision, could you please provide more information on the dimensions of the Bellroy sleeve? I want to ensure it will fit my laptop perfectly. Also, do you have any personal experience with these sleeves that you can share? Your insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I wish Nomatic did more colors (and premium mats). Love the engineering and design of those boys.

  15. @gummybear41283 on December 31, 2024 at 6:41 pm

None of these will protect a laptop from a drop, you should review actual laptop protection with D3O , there’s a company in Germany that makes them

  16. @davidthompson6939 on December 31, 2024 at 6:42 pm

Laptop sleeves in a decent backpack are a colossal waste of time and money and weight.

Nice video! I have the Aer Tech Folio and really love it, perfect for when I carry my 16” laptop and 13” iPad. However I am jealous of that magnetic closure on the Bellroy and love the shoulder strap of the Nomatic. The only thing that bugs me about the Aer Tech Folio is carrying by the top handle tips the folio because of where the handle is in relation to the seams so when walking it rubs against my leg more than I would like. Plenty of space for chargers, etc though!

  19. @KLeung5 on December 31, 2024 at 6:44 pm

I’ve been using the Moft sleeve for a year and loving it so far. Professional looking, very functional and ergonomic. Brought it whenever and everywhere I travel. Perfect combination for me!

  20. @sglatitude on December 31, 2024 at 6:48 pm

I like the vintage looks BookBook laptop case from Twelve South. Yes bit bulky but the rugged material and zip laptop case give me better peace of mind in style πŸ˜‚
The velvety soft interior material is gentle to my MacBook Pro 16”
Last but not least, the built in little strap on the left and right top of the case give a feeling as if I am opening and reading a book πŸ˜…

Would you ever do a review of the Timbuk2 + Astro BP35? I know it’s advertised as a "Gamer" bag, I’m curious about using it as a EDC for school/work

  25. @FiLtheThriL on December 31, 2024 at 6:53 pm

    Rushfaster acquired. Thanks Aaron!

  26. @kaochao2356 on December 31, 2024 at 6:54 pm

I’ve purchased 2 of those soft cover laptop sleeves in my life & have never used them because I feel as though they wouldn’t protect my fairly heavy laptop from a drop. The protection seems minimal. The laptop sleeve that I DO use may be unconventional (if not absurd): The Alpaka Tech Brief. Similar to your suggestion of the Nomatic Tech Brief, I use it because it gives me a laptop sleeve and plenty of organization to carry my mouse, cables, power brick, gaming pad, and tablet. All I need to do is pull that brief out of my backpack, open it up, & I have everything on hand. That said, I’ve stopped using it since I purchased the Evergoods CTB26, which has enough pockets and organization to pretty much fit everything I listed above. I might go back to it someday, though… I really enjoyed using that laptop sleeve/tech brief.

    Where’s the tomtoc?

    Thule πŸ‘

  29. @alexandermoursiotis1465 on December 31, 2024 at 6:57 pm

I absolutely adore that belroy sleeve(I’m not a belroy fan boy in general) my only concern is the magnet, will it be strong enough to keep the laptop from falling when upside down?

  30. @cat-mb3dm on December 31, 2024 at 6:58 pm

you should review the thule gauntlet sleeve. it provides shock protection and is very solid, while zipping totally shut for 360 protection. it seems to provide better protection than other sleeves, while not being too bulky. i would not recommend using it in the open mode though. beyond that it seems like one of the best in terms of protection

  31. @nikolajhgh-nielsen8610 on December 31, 2024 at 6:59 pm

Try the Mous laptop Sleeve. Additionally you could review the Mous backpack

  32. @DaemonViews on December 31, 2024 at 7:01 pm

I have and also gifted the tomtoc one. It is super padded.

As said before. I like either nothing or a really thin sleeve for in a backpack or messenger when they have a laptop area.
But the padded tomtoc one is nice for in a trolley or suitcase.

  33. @LunaticTheCat on December 31, 2024 at 7:03 pm

  38. @JoeyLegs on December 31, 2024 at 7:09 pm

At 5:20 ish, just FYI keyboards at the upward angle like this are less ergonomic, bad for the wrists. Ideally, the keyboard should be Angled Downward. Solid video though.

  39. @brendadejesus5019 on December 31, 2024 at 7:09 pm

I want a laptop sleeve even though I have a backpack because in school your not allowed to wear backpacks but I can bring a sleeve so it’s just very convenient
