Hey guys, anyone has any comments on the Fosi amp?

  2. @RyanReddell on December 31, 2024 at 6:13 pm

Looking for an amp to drive a pair of cans (Grados GH1) and Emotiva bookshelf speakers. Budget is under $500. I have a Emotiva Big Ego+ DAC if needed.

  3. @DavidGonzalez-fh9zn on December 31, 2024 at 6:14 pm

I was a happy owner of two Onkyo integrated amplifiers; I really like their sound. The first amplifier failed after 3 years and the second failed after 4 years, the same failure: one of the channels stopped working. I switched to a Rotel integrated and have had it for 10 years without failure. I am just sharing my experience.

  4. @bartketelbuters542 on December 31, 2024 at 6:15 pm

Recently bought a Schiit Vidar 2 and Saga, combined with smsl Ps100 dac’s. Maybe I’ll switch to schiit modi in the future, but at the moment I couldn’t be happier. And my previous setup was a Marantz Sr7400 with a MM9000. Not very cheap.

  5. @cliffordpurk18 on December 31, 2024 at 6:16 pm

Which would you suggest to run the Monitor Audio Bronze 100?

  6. @selfilm1 on December 31, 2024 at 6:16 pm

I haven’t read all the comments yet, but wanted to see if anybody’s discussing Cambridge audio? They make what I believe are phenomenal products at very approachable pricing. Would love to get others opinion on this and if there’s a model that you love, please let me know.

  7. @nikandbdog on December 31, 2024 at 6:18 pm

I have the AS301, I really do like it but I LOVE the warmth of vintage Marantz. My brother recently suggested I look at Sansui. Is there anything new that provides the warmth of either vintage unit for under $1,000? I mostly listen to vinyl.

  8. @ArifulHSubin on December 31, 2024 at 6:20 pm

bro I love your videos but i don’t understand why the volume of the videos are always so low.

  10. @noahman27 on December 31, 2024 at 6:21 pm

Cooool man. Oooooh I’m drooling overr some of those amps. I was surprised though that you did not have a Schiit amp included here.

  12. @Johaidiiii on December 31, 2024 at 6:24 pm

I change Denon pma-800ne to new Yamaha AS-701, who sounds more more better wide clean

  14. @DonnyHooterHoot on December 31, 2024 at 6:28 pm

I just bought a Nobsound M5.1. It’s class D and cost me about 189 US dollars. I really love it so far, clean sound and surround sound.

  16. @SaveAmerica-TRUMP2024 on December 31, 2024 at 6:29 pm

I’m new to these mini amps. I’m down with the fosi tb20a pro. Got a bit of a shock when I realized the separate power supply that is needed cost $60 on its own. 🤕

  19. @martyn_g on December 31, 2024 at 6:31 pm

Though it’s not cheap, it’s probably the best low price tube amp – Cayin MT-35MK2 BT – also, something which is hard for you guys to get in the US as it’s an Australian company – Weston Acoustics- his handmade tube amps (he even builds the transformers himself, as well as the casing, point to point wiring) starts at $1214USD

  20. @mzondi1970 on December 31, 2024 at 6:33 pm

I have the Denon now would you recommend the ta-1 on a pair of Bowers 706 over the Denon

  21. @Desertbiker617 on December 31, 2024 at 6:34 pm

I loved the Denon sound so much, ended up with pma-a110.

  27. @ollivainikainen9388 on December 31, 2024 at 6:44 pm

I’m a bit confused here, so I ask. Which of those could feed 3.7i Maggies?

  28. @greysuit17 on December 31, 2024 at 6:45 pm

Do you need to match your speakers to the amp? Very confused by the wattage per 4 or 8 ohms.

  29. @BrunoKrnetic on December 31, 2024 at 6:46 pm

Is there an update video for this now in 2024?

  30. @lawrencepittman1510 on December 31, 2024 at 6:47 pm

Anything you would recommend with the bose 901 speakers,t

  31. @TurboDV8 on December 31, 2024 at 6:48 pm

If a manufacturer blatantly lies to my face right out of the gates and their specifications, I’m not buying their product. Period.

  32. @jeremyfancher on December 31, 2024 at 6:48 pm

i believe onkyo as we knew it is done
i still have my onkyo rz 820 avr and its great it pounds my big 15" vega house speakers

  33. @studer3500 on December 31, 2024 at 6:48 pm

What about the British made amps such as the Sugden…

  34. @stormtrooper9404 on December 31, 2024 at 6:51 pm

    Neglecting a Pioneer a-40 is a crime!
It seats between yamaha a-301/501 but can often be found closer in price to the 301!
Better amp than the yammy, and run circles around some of these suggested D-class toys!

  35. @howardkaye6104 on December 31, 2024 at 6:54 pm

Hi, Love the videos I’m a newbie. I need help. I like the Emotiva XB2 speakers and I need an amp. I was thinking of the Aiyima T9 Pro. I will only use this setup for streaming Tidal music from my I-Phone. Can I have your opinion on this setup please?

    Thanks,
    Howard

  36. @blackopal3138 on December 31, 2024 at 6:59 pm

Hi. I have a couple of beautiful Sansui towers, 160W @8ohm. Primarily I use my mini pc, which currently uses the tv speakers or a BT one, and tv, and DVD/Cd player. I’d probably also use the radio on a receiver if it had one My question is do I have to match the 160W per channel, if I don’t need it, or can I hook up one of those Fosis or Ayimas, and keep my speakers safe?? The setup is in a 10 x 16 concrete wall room, the towers are 2 x 12" and 2 x 4", dials for diff settings, so i don’t think I need much, but Idk.. ? peace

  37. @LeRoi81 on December 31, 2024 at 6:59 pm

What a joke. Nearly every modern 5.1 (and up) AVR has room correction and can be used for stereo as well. But they are affordable.

  38. @stevesalvatore9389 on December 31, 2024 at 6:59 pm

Which of these amps would you recommend to pair with Zu Audio DW6?

  39. @kenneths.perlman1112 on December 31, 2024 at 7:00 pm

    Emotive $100 less.

  40. @OCCUPIEDNATION on December 31, 2024 at 7:01 pm

Randy – do yourself a favour and get a Sugden amp.

  41. @SuspiciousAra on December 31, 2024 at 7:02 pm

There is nothing wrong with buying new decent HI-FI gear but for the money I would always go for gear around 5 years old for very cheap. Got myself a pair of B&W tower speakers, tried all my amps on then, meh all, recently got a Rotel power amp and yesterday got a Rotel preamp. It is game over for me. And i still spent less than 2k. My Yamaha network player i was considering replacing just sounds amazing with this new setup, going to sell everything i own and i don’t need and get a decent turntable.

  42. @nick066hu on December 31, 2024 at 7:02 pm

Unwanted Noise 1: Any hissing, humming, buzzing coming from the loudspeakers when in idle ? ie. turned on, but no signal.
Unwanted Noise 2: Are there cooling fans in the device making any noise?
These are a no-go criteria for me, way more important than how ‘the warmth of the basses are shining thru the southern slopes of the midtones’ but strangely I can hardly find a review to mention these possible, for me very annoying noise sources.

  43. @funky-twig on December 31, 2024 at 7:04 pm

Interested in using the term integrated amplifier. For most, this means it does not need a separate power amplifier. Many amps that are integrated amplifiers have the facility to bypass the amplification and just output a line-level signal for the power amp (separate) unit to do the amplification. This means that you don’t get interference from the power amp bit in the pre-amp (the unit that does source selection and pre-processing). Using a pre-power setup gives you more upgrade options as the watch bit can be upgraded separately.

These little amplifiers don’t cut the mustard for me. I’m not happy until my lights are dimming in the house, while I’m playing music

  46. @mancavedecorations8158 on December 31, 2024 at 7:07 pm

Used. Electrocompaniet AW100 under $500. This IS the shazizzle

  47. @glennbarret-jy5ut on December 31, 2024 at 7:08 pm

My Fosi T20 was my first turntable amp. I loved it, great amp for $100 AUD, which is about $.5 USD. Upgraded to Schiit Magni+. Loved that as well. Both fantastic budget options. Tossing up between the Schiit Lyr+ or Topping a90d next

  48. @824tonimarie on December 31, 2024 at 7:10 pm

Hi Randy, great work!!! Love your videos, knowledge and your sense of humor. What was the name of the $2500 amp class D?

  49. @lexiecrewther7038 on December 31, 2024 at 7:11 pm

If the amp is purely used for subs, would the sound quality difference between fosi and an avr be huge?

  50. @MultiTrumpetman on December 31, 2024 at 7:11 pm

Sphinx V3 is class D with tube peeamp. The winner!
