Increible! excelente trabajo amigo, muchas gracias! Me suscribo
Thanks for doing the video in this format!
came for smart lock review, stayed for the ending music <3
Thanks!
Aqara is Chinese, so pass on that one unfortunately.
Good job on the song lol
Best product comparison format I’ve seen. It was entertaining and the side by side visuals made it super easy to follow. I love how you broke everything down by features. Only thing I’m still wondering is which locks give 2 factor authentication options like using both fingerprint and PIN together, but that’s a quick search. Thanks for making my search easier!
Dang that was entertaining… lol
Did you consider security of the apps and companies involved? I’ve been interested in changing to a smart lock but I am concerned about becoming vulnerable to hackers etcetera.
Thank you for your sacrifice and breakdown of the various locks out there! I felt overwhelmed by the various choices, but I have had ideas of what features I want. Getting this large spectrum comparison was super helpful, and hilarious! Thank you!
Great video! I am an old lady that wants to know if you have to use your home WiFi for all of these locks? My house WiFi is to far away from my garage. Does built in wi fi mean I don’t have to use home WiFi? A quick scolding answer wold be appreciated
What a great video format, you give the best information at the beginning and spread out all the details as the video goes on. Absolute art.
perfect video. incredibly thorough. Thanks!
My main concern here is regarding the battery types that the locks use. Like will the Li-ion batteries degrade over time and then therefore require constant charging eventually?
Would it be considered wasteful to use a lock that uses AA batteries knowing that you’re going to be going through a bunch of AAs? (Leaning toward the Aqara U50 btw.)
The problem with rechargeable AA’s is the generally NiMH and unfortunately that chemistry has a very high self discharge rate – so not great for long term use. There are some AA lithium ion rechargeables that include a built in buck converter to take them down to 1.6V and they’re great for some applications but once again the built buck converter is always on consuming power. Why everyone is not using lithium ion I don’t know. You start off with a higher voltage, can get them in small packages, they’ve stood the test of time in mobile devices and internal most of the electronics will run on 3.3V or 5V anyway.
in my opinion the best smart lock is "Smart Cylinder"
Great, straight to the point, and informative video!!
amazing. I am going to use the august because I need to keep the same outside deadbolt. Thanks for the high quality production, the humor, and the music.
My door faces west and in the afternoon, it can get really hot. Well the Lockly Visage hold up? That’s my only real concern
16x as funny though, that comment was funny AF, thnaks for doing it, really appreciated
Do you know why I liked and subscribed by 1 minute? Because you get to the point, clearly and consicely and don’t drag everything out. Now, I want to watch the whole video without fast forwarding or giving up because they’re dragging everything out. Thank you.
The only two problems with all these locks is they have wifi and bluetooth, some with RFID you should find a lock that a flipper cannot access.
Thank you for testing and sharing the information!
Holy crap what an extensive test/video and a heck of a production and humor thrown in as well. It’s amazing how content creators like you that remind me that I would never want to be a youtuber. WAY too much work. 👏👏👏🎬
all us locks, bye
Aqara, the lock that pushes notification for every lock/unlock… but if you want to disable that there’s only one toggle called device notifications which disables ALL notifications (ajar, bolt issue, etc). RIP developers 🪦
Does Visage do better?
Wow! Great format with the most important info straight up! Still, I watched it in entirety including the hilarious song at the end 🙂
Great work!
Great vid, Thanks. Though you talked about the noise level as not bad, I’ve tried two there was a considerable difference. But I considered both too loud. Unlocking a door should not also be a wake up alarm for the others in the house.
Pretty meaningless without cyber security analyst for comparing smart locks.
This is the best review I’ve ever seen. Kudos sir 👏🏾
Had so much fun watching this haha also, very valuable information thank you so much!!
This might be the best smart lock review ever! I very much enjoyed it, especially the end. You’re awesome, keep up the good work!
Really great review! Love the side by side comparisons, and list view of features. Subscribed and thinking about the Aquara. Nervous about a smart lock, but hate uninstalling/disassembling/reinstalling my keypad lock because the tiny pin moves too far up the really weak spring every 3 months now, so maybe a motor driven bolt is the way to go.
Great video, thanks for the thorough, honest review.
Facial recognition? Seriously?
By definition the lock is going to be waist height. 🤷🏻♂️
What would you suggest If I were to contemplate a lock for an AirBnB?
Hilarious! …and helpful at the same time! Thanks!
This guy is a complete idiot. Every lock besides Schlage on here sucks.
Have you ever tried any of the YoLink locks?
Thank you! Love the song and music video 😂
Sir could please advice which one good for outdoor hot wither
First time I am watching someone who I can trust, thank you
Looking for a smart double deadbolt- which of the ones you tested can do it?
Yale assure 2 is a shit lock. The auto-unlock function doesn’t work unless you hang around for a whole minute. You can’t check the battery life from the app you have to wait for it to tell you the batteries are low. The app is stupid and confusing. The settings aren’t accessible unless you’re within Bluetooth distance. Etc
Great review!
What is the best smart lock to use in a condo with an interconnected lock (when handle goes down it automatically opens deadbolt on the inside), as I read that some are not compatible.
can these be hacked?
You are hilarious! I love it. I don’t usually LOL at YouTube videos but your tonal shifts really tickle me. Thanks! Liked and subscribed.
That was fucking awesome. I love the song so much you made my day.😊
On all of these… I need to be able to add and disable entry codes from remote. Do any have this function?
