I started building my own filters last year. 4 12x24inch MERV14 filters. Tape them into a box, make sure air flow is point out, take a small box fan and lay it on top of those. Super portable, does an insane job. Cuts the dust and smells in the house down ALOT, better than any of the 200+$ machines. Maybe a bit louder but my output with these is insane.
In the sunlight you can see the dust particles B line for the fan and the air that comes out has no dust. This filter setup lasts around 3 or 4 months for us. 6 filters are about 70-80$. So it may cost more in the long term. But the air quality in our house has never been better.

Can you do a cheaper air purifier . Maybe see if they can match these ? Thank you in advance! 😅❤

All Dyson stuff is rubbish, sells on price point, i.e. "look how much I spent" mainly bought by idiots

Coway Airmega 250 is great to use.

Why is this guy acting so childish and why is he dressed like a hobo? I just don’t like the way he presents and keeps rambling. Just stick to the key points, man.

  16. @sburakazak on July 4, 2025 at 7:23 pm

The results show that Dyson is the most efficient air cleaner for power consumption and noiseless usage. Duration is below 3 minutes is not a big deal. I’ll buy Dyson asap!

This video set me on kind of a Air Purifier research journey. A couple days later I purchased the AirDoctor (using your link.) A really great video and one of the best for combining real world experience as well as using actual testing equipment. Thank you very much!

  24. @TaraKGlam on July 4, 2025 at 7:32 pm

We need to know what the claim is in terms of "cleaning" the air. We are dealing with fluorotelomer alcohol in the air and other residuals of PFAS. It’s in our dust. If there is anything that will help I will buy it!

  25. @troymitchel4790 on July 4, 2025 at 7:36 pm

I bought a Levoit 200 a couple years ago from Walmart. Used it for about a week. It had this dirty laundry smell that never went away. I returned it, then bought a Levoit 300 from Amazon hoping it would be better. Nope. Some thing. It seemed to be the filters causing the weird dirty smell. Sent it back. Didn’t get a different brand yet, but still looking.

    PLEASE READ:
I think it is so sad to see that the tester can’t even figure out how to calculate the WATTS used for each product, he just keeps pushing the KWh button that is off course showing zero as no KWh has been used, only watts.
Makes me not trust the test one bit when even so simple and basic stuff is not known.
We need a new tester here, one that is able to multiply to be able to calculate the total amount of watts used to clear the tent for smoke.

Now i am off to find a better place to get my information on where to use my money.
    PLEASE READ:

  27. @mcchuff on July 4, 2025 at 7:36 pm

Being able to remove a high amount of particulates from the air in a short period of time is pretty much a pointless test, unless you plan on regularly running a smoke machine in your house.

  29. @TopFindsReviews on July 4, 2025 at 7:44 pm

awesome haha. is that the highline in new york?

  30. @visaggi1000 on July 4, 2025 at 7:45 pm

Great to see videos like this, but this test is too simplified and does not check or verify what you wanted to test.
Stupid example but: try checking the top speed of a big truck, and test it on a 1 meter long road. Will the test tell you what you are checking? No it won’t…

  31. @panzer948 on July 4, 2025 at 7:45 pm

I watched your test with the hopes of getting a good comparison on the Levoit vs these other good brands but was disappointed you selected the 300, which I dont think is a fair comparison. I think the 400 or maybe even the 600 would have been a more apples to apples test with similar size models. Do you know if they would have had similar results to the top bands here?

Which one is the best for a 800 sq apartment?

  38. @layeetskeeters9244 on July 4, 2025 at 7:53 pm

a smoke machine produces a fine mist that resembles smoke, but is in fact a fine mist of liquid. Not a good test for dust particulate

  39. @dweeder1453 on July 4, 2025 at 7:53 pm

Dude not a single CADR metric units were written right. The people making these videos dont even know the difference between ft and m. Very scientific.

  40. @patrickbernier5495 on July 4, 2025 at 7:54 pm

I love it when everyone says "replace your filters" nobody ever suggests to simply clean it. I had a germ defender that died before its filter did. No need to buy filters when you know how to use water and detergents

  41. @lindas1511 on July 4, 2025 at 7:55 pm

Dyson is slower, but what about the noise?

I now live in southern Nevada air quality here sucks and so does the water but I digress. You are the first in 5 videos that actually videoed you test showing the results. ( No trust me bro here) That was excellent and keep it up was really impressed. As for improvements maybe a little more information on the cost break down. As in unit, power usage and filter replacements.

  50. @MorgynStryker on July 4, 2025 at 8:05 pm

What about Rabbit Air? I have found that works better than Levoit and Blue Air!
