dt 700 pro x do a way better job for me and now my sister is also planing to purchase a pair i wanted a close back that lasts i am already perfectly fine having a pair of philips fidelio x2hr which i also got for my sister on her birthday which she also loves
i recommend the philips fidelio x2hr to anyone because they do not break the bank and even beat a bunch of closed back headphones on bass even while the fidelio’s are open back even while being pretty neutral its why i had a much harder time finding a good closed back pair
thing is i would have went with the fiio ft1’s but i read the build quality makes them not last long at all some broke already in 3 months
the reviews on the dt 700 pro x were that they were very harsh on the mixing done for music/sounds and i noticed it aswel but that kinda is what makes me like it even more the fact that it is so clear between every instrument like if everything was on their own track is nice the philips fidelio’s were already more clear compared to the older headphones i had
just keep in mind the harshness on details is also considered a negative part of the dt 700 you either like it or hate it

I use them for music production, they’re pretty good audiophile grade headphones, they’re no mess empyrians, but they’re really good
Just change the dt990 pad to real leather pad bass will come 😊 I sell headphone for living

I use an old shittu pair of Sony headphones and one of the ears doesn’t work anymore
first i moved from siberia v2 to dt 990 when they were 70$ if i use current conversion ratio
and it was game breaking moment cos i heared open soundstage that i never heard before
and even now if i would recommend getting something like sivga luan or aune ar5k or hifiman xs or other options around 200-300$ price
only thing that would be another power spike is 800+$ and its questionable
so dt990 was just too good value for its price at the time at least for me
and yes 990 treble is painful i moved to 880 after year of using those

Your opinion is valuable… But saying they sound way more natural… is funny as DT990 are industry standard for Sound Engineers and Music Production… So maybe sound design before it reaches your ears is bad from the start. Learn about Linear Response charts and audio balance before making a statement like that please.
Wish there were good wireless open back headphones. Love my Senn’s but might have to switch to wireless IEMs. My cats are gonna thrash my cables any day now

Best cheap gaming headset is the cloud alpha’s, cheap with good mic and sound. Best music headphones are the crusher evo or if you have money sennheiser hd600’s.
That’s why I use hyper x cloud 3 wireless for only 60 bucks and are better 😂

Yeah they’re great headphones if you aren’t sensitive to their boosted treble frequencies, felt like a million knifes stabbing my ears even when I eq’ed them to death. But I really do mean if you aren’t sensitive to that higher frequency range, they are fantastic headphones, definitely worth considering.
But I won’t hear my game then because my computer sounds like a jet plane
you need sharp sound profile for games not natural.
