As Steve Jobs once said about the iPad 2, “We spent so long designing this beautiful thing why cover it up. So they created the Smart Cover: just enough protection to say, “Look, it’s dressed up,” but not enough to save it if it takes a dive off the table.
Basically, it’s like Apple saying, “We know you’ll drop it, but hey, at least it’ll look good on the way down!” Until they make a design so delicate it practically shatters on eye contact, we’re just sticking with these classy covers and calling it a day! 😂
I take my case off when I’m in doors. also it only protects against flat surfaces. the world is mostly flat surfaces ATM but Idk I frequent places where there are curves and such.

I use a wallet case with a detachable magsafe interior cover. It protects my phone whether it lands on a flat surface or not.

I’m an otter box defender person . I’ve dropped my phone so many times and never once the the glass break .
This is cool. The magnetic leather back + a screen protector was another minimal way to rock caseless. The issue is breaking the back glass is even worse than breaking your screen.
I switched to the smartish phone case for my iPhone 15.
It has finger notches, right where you want to grab your phone so you don’t drop your phone.
If I use that minimalist case, my phone would be on the pavement at least once a day.
I still don’t know why they can’t make a phone ergonomically correct for your hand to fit instead of flat smooth sides that slip out of your fingers!
There’s no way I could use that minimal case.

I’ll tell you what that screen scratches really easy. I had an 11 pro for five years with no scratches on the screen. I’ve had 16 pro for six days and it already has a scratch.

arc pulse is absolutely ridicolous with its price, its too expensive and the phone does not look like an iphone anymore…much more like minnie mouse with all the protuberances…just my opinion

I’m definitely going to pair this with the Oh Snap grip Luxe. Not trying to make an ad but it’s a nice version of a pop socket with more usability and it’s thinner than your camera bump. I used to never be a fan of pop sockets since I always had a Bulky case but now that I’m trying to get my phone to be as thin as I can this case paired with the oh snap thingy will be perfect. I won’t drop it but if I do it still has some protection.

1. Whenever I’ve dropped my phone it’s been on a flat surface which would damage the phone with this case on
2. It’s up to $300 for 2 pieces of plastic, you could get a much better phone case for less than half of that

I love this guy’s reviews, I’m in tech for work, Apple reseller and occasionally clients ask for suggestions, some of these products are through the mfr only and they’re often small run operations so it’s not easy to process bulk purchases. We can buy from Amazon but even they have limits. Still on the consumer side this is my favorite Apple Youtuber.
