Great setup, love it. How do you do POV product shots where you can see both hand unboxing the product? Just the camera in front while you "hug" it?
I see you have like sound foam on the walls does that help ?
Ill save everyone time….the camera mentioned is $1300 on Amazon …the mount alone is $140 on Amazon…. 😂….we already left "budget" in the dust ….Think Media has a setup that looks even better for under $100!
Thanks so much for making this video. I can get set up in a more affordable manner.
Hi bro. What is the best lighting for YouTube video shooting under $250 from Amazon? If possible, what kind of vertical lighting did you use in this video? Thank you.
I wasn’t thrilled with the cost of the keylight (I need two) being north of $250 so I found a 2 pack of the AMBITFULp35r lights and a better softbox with honeycomb PLUS it’s RGB so not just regular light. They also take the popular NPF sony batteries.
I am also trying to get my spot in the world of content creators and budget friendly is always a win for me since I am a father of 3. My question for you is about sound outside the room? Do you “sound proof” your door?
This is a great video, I did some scrolling but didn’t see or maybe I overlooked. I was wondering how the "wobble" is on the set-up. In some videos of mounts like this I see the person mount wobbling back and forth in a different camera view (not yours). I was just wondering if it is pretty solid, I would pretty much have the same set up for items on the mount. But was worried when I was making video of editing photos my movement on the desk with the editing tablet would cause some movement in the mount making the camera (Canon R6 II) wobble. This seems like a good set up. Thanks for the video.
What if we don’t have the budget for a Rode etc, and if I already have a dynamic mic with which I’ve been making great talking head videos from my desk anyway, do you know of any standalone mic stands which do NOT clamp on to the desk (I currently clamp on the desk sometimes for just speaking videos), for me to do unboxing videos, instructional videos, or product explainer videos such as these?
Because each time I try to make a book review or show my lego or new game cards I bought, I have to be careful to "hover" so my hands don’t hit the table, so the microphone doesn’t pick up that sound as a loud "Bmmmm" (think tyrannosaurus in jurassic park LOL).
In other words, when you touch the desk during your product review, doesn’t the Rode pick up the sound of your hand hitting the table?
Hovering constantly also tenses my shoulders and gives me anxiety. I’d like to bang the table, slam the table, and drop products onto the table if I have to during the videos.
I know I could go the "music" route as I’m a musician and just get a music mic stand and put it next to the desk and angle the dynamic mic to my mouth, but I’m wondering if there are more elegant stands or devices than just the usual music stands for dynamic mics that you’ve heard of or use? Or maybe use a clamp for the microphone on a small side table next to the main desk?
What do you think and what would your advice be?
Thanks so much!
Great, I have the same desktop size and the exact same LG monitor. I just started to set up my environment and your video shows me, that I‘m not completely wrong😊 Thank you for the tips!!
For your backdrop I can highly recommend using a neutral grey thick sheet of paper or a matt foil and then adding your RGB Light in which ever color you like. The color will show up nicely on the grey background (much nicer than on a white one) and you have got yourself a background in every color possible. Works really well!
Question do you use OBS for streaming on YT, thanks inadvance if you can let me know, nice video good vibe..
Thank you sir
Everything looks great! You can also drill a whole in the back for the charging station drawer, instead of having it in the front of the drawer.
Thanks for Sharing
very ingenious ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! I actually love this
Good video and very nice presentation, however, the products are not budget friendly as you’ve described. Or am I missing something here 😂
Wow what a great and efficient setup!! Love the efficiency of space!!
If this is budget for you I would hate to see expensive one 😂😂
I am watching this to get ideas for my YouTube gear and my coincidence we use the same mouse and keyboard. What are the odds haha
“On a budget.”
Has the most expensive monitor light bar out there.
What a great setup – definitely gonna save up for that multi mount
Great set up 👌🏼
this is perfect.
This is a great video – I was thinking of upgrading my office space and it’s given me inspiration to have a go at it without spending a fortune. Thank you 🙂
How do you not have a buzzing on the mic? I have the same mic run through a Sony ZV-1f and it has a constant buzzing sound
What kind of chair do you use, as that is also very important for your personal comfort?
The 6-in-1 isn’t available anymore, what would you recommend as an alternative?
Wow, the Best Desktop Setup ever seen in the tiny space well designed and organised! Awesome
Sound panels make no difference imo. On iPhone speakers at least.
The charging drawer is genius!
Wow, this video is exactly what I was looking for. My only question is two years later which you still give the same suggestions?
brother I took my time to watch you. I usually don’t. means, you are on point. congratulations.
Great video! Just wanted to ask, what camera did you shoot the bit where you put the smartphone mount atop of the Sony? The softness and DOF here looks great. Also, and I know it’s a bit overkill, but could this setup be used for Teams/zoom videos since it is already setup? Thanks
Great overview of your setup, thanks!
Great video. How did you connect the newaar light to the desk mount? I see a ball connector, but what went into the light hole? thank you!
i got foam pannels behind my desk where my drums are
Cool setup and video man, just found you and subscribed
instead of sound panels you can get a tension rod and use shower curtain rings with a thick blanket and it will help the echo. cheap, easy and less permanent. just pull it across when you want to record and pull it back after.
Thank you for all your effort!! I appreciate learning about the stand!
Love the detail about the picture covering the windows!
Thanks for this video. Super helpful! The audio quality is impressive considering the small mic setup you have. How far away is it from you and is it possible for you to share how you process/clean up your audio when you put your vids together? Many thanks!
Thank you, thank you, thank you
Please remix "sound panels no sound panels" into a song
What audio cable are you using ?
Thanks for sharing your setup, brilliant way of maintaining flexibility in a tiny room while on budget!
Thank you very much !! Amazing video !!
this was really helpful. thank you for going into details, I loved every minute of this.
what lens are you using?
