    i have the 800 and the 250w
    fantastic inverters.
i used the 800w for years off grid full time living in my motorhome amd it was perfect.
i now use it in my shed feeding power to a room in my house.
the smaller 250 lives in my land rover for camping and ham radio days out.
the VR direct bluetooth is a must have

Like the idea of having one of these little guys running my lights separate from my system in the solar shed.

Can you do a video on how to connect the wires to the 500 watt inverter

  4. @HutchinsonJC on April 20, 2025 at 2:31 pm

They need to expand this lineup, at the very least on the 48v versions, up to 2,000 watts.

It’s like the entire industry went toward these hybrid inverters that can also charge your batteries with built in mppt, but that functionality is completely redundant if you already have stand-alone mppts. And victron SELLS mppts, so they should KNOW that, already.

That or another company needs to step it up.

I want the bluetooth functionality, app functionality, PROGRAMMABLE Low Voltage Cutoff, programmable charge, absorb, and float voltages. All of that, that these victron inverters are capable of, But I want it in higher wattage.

Why is that when you look up inverters all the best ones are 12V for RVs or severely lacking functionality? Half of them have a low voltage cut off, but you can’t really adjust it. If you can, it’s within some tiny range almost purely based on battery chemistry. I was just looking at one on Amazon and it has these tiny little switches that you move to on or off positions and based on those positions it changes the low voltage cutoff, but the total range was only 39 to 42v that you could adjust it. How inadequate is that?

i bought the phoenix 24/11200 victron inverter on your review it ran for ten minutes then it shut off never to come 0n again we checked it out there was power to and past the breaker but nothing after that the vivtron seemed perfect for my needs please advise

    Just the inverter I needed.

  8. @jerryberkel8421 on April 20, 2025 at 2:36 pm

So I have a slide in pop up camper with a 120v fridge that pulls 0.8 amps and 1 outlet that I will using to charge my phone, plug in a tv etc. I have 3 led lights and a roof mounted vent fan and water pump for sink (12v). Currently I have a 2000 watt inverter charger with no power save mode. I am buying a victron smart shunt to find out what the inverters idle draw and draw when using the fridge and tv is. My hope is to find an efficient inverter/charger or just inverter and seperate charger that will allow me to keep the fridge on 24/7. Currently if I leave it on my batteries are depleted overnight. I do have 1 200 watt solar panel and two 100ah lifepo4 batteries. Any suggestions on an inverter for this setup? I was leaning towards a litime or renogy but after seeing this video I am reconsidering.

Could you make a video on installing an inverter properly in your car/suv/truck for people with gasoline powered cars?

  14. @Scat.original on April 20, 2025 at 2:41 pm

Where do I find the Battery low voltage cut off setting you spoke about?

  15. @b92555 on April 20, 2025 at 2:42 pm

Just a note. When powering a refrigerator “search mode” could fail to restart. Fridges with computer controls need to have continuous power to function. They do not draw enough power to trigger restart of the inverter after shutdown of the compressor motor in the fridge. Older units with mechanical temperature controls will create the load needed to start the inverter and do well in search mode. I have a chest freezer that has old style controls that cycles on frequently enough to keep my other appliances with computer controls functioning. Finally I gave up on search mode and just use eco mode. This works because the low power draws are serviced with modified sine wave power but loads greater than 50 watts are powered with pure sine wave power. That way my 10 watt light comes on when I open the fridge and the fridge doesn’t have to wait for the chest freezer to function.

  16. @dave-xe6pc on April 20, 2025 at 2:43 pm

Thank you for the video! Did the Victron Bluetooth dongle increase the idle watt draw from the inverter? If so, any idea on how much? The measurements were taken on the workbench before the Bluetooth dongle was connected in the video.

  17. @michaelmatthews9462 on April 20, 2025 at 2:44 pm

I have one of these for a small solar setup. The biggest load is recharging my EGO mower battery, the charger pulls 880(?) watts, with a 12v LiFPO 100ah battery supporting the inverter. This seems to drain the battery causing the inverter to alarm and shutoff. Should I add another battery to support the inverter?

  18. @mjwall4 on April 20, 2025 at 2:44 pm

Thanks Will, I have a 10000va quattro running off grid, I would like to run my starlink and fridge and freezer off of a the 1200 48v. my only question would be if im able to connect both inverters to the same cerbo? i would like the data from both inverters all on the same vrm page.

  23. @Taras-Nabad on April 20, 2025 at 2:50 pm

    That’s a nice system.

  24. @PanBoroda on April 20, 2025 at 2:52 pm

You seem like a smart guy, but you didn’t say a word that the characteristics of this device are specified in volt amperes, not watts. Accordingly, you have only about 60% of the specified power when connecting devices without a higher volt-ampere characteristic such as computers and other electronics.

  25. @jamesc6137 on April 20, 2025 at 2:54 pm

I have a 48volt AC EZGO RXV golf cart. Id like an inverter to use with the golf to use as back up power for my house during power outages. I have a 50amp generator inlet that that feeds into a 5o amp breaker with an interlock system on my main home panel . Id only be using this to run some GFI’s, 2 refrigerators and some interior lights etc. Would this type of inverter work?

  26. @javiercoronel1169 on April 20, 2025 at 2:55 pm

How did the inverter pulled the ac of 1000 watts when it’s only 1200va= 900 watts?

  31. @5nowChain5 on April 20, 2025 at 3:03 pm

The Engineering of Victron kit is second to none. The options for reports via the CerboGX on the VRM app is very impressive. Great for Nerds who love statistics.

  32. @RobertSchmitt-u7l on April 20, 2025 at 3:05 pm

egs002, ferrite ring, loop it around welding wire a couple times, add a transformer, torroidal salvaged or new if you can find them
    10kw 25w idle laminated transformer, 15w toriodal
and the 10kw boards can be pushed to 250-300a as opposed to the factory 200a shunt limit.
Theyre chinese, but they are actually good.
You need it mounted to solid surfaces, so cables are managed and batteries can be in same cabinet too. This is best way.

  33. @ididntknowthatsr6993 on April 20, 2025 at 3:09 pm

Will you recommend this inverter for running a 410 watts Frigidaire window AC unit ?

  34. @tomm2271 on April 20, 2025 at 3:09 pm

Hello from Youngstown Ohio. I just inherited a brand new Phoenix 12 / 800. But there are no cables in the box. Can you tell me where I can get them please? Thanks (2 awg? 4 awg?)

  35. @AR-vf7vg on April 20, 2025 at 3:10 pm

Is " LF " part of the model’s name ?? I cannot find
    "Victron Phoenix 1200VA LF" .

  36. @donmontalvo1 on April 20, 2025 at 3:14 pm

This video convinced me to get the Phoenix 12 1200, added the bluetooth module, and a simple on/off 12v switch with light (no reason for such a bit on/off switch line Victron’s). It’s been working perfectly, and such a low draw! Thanks!

  37. @no-ee on April 20, 2025 at 3:14 pm

Will these phoenix 1200VA do split phase 240V and can they be combined?

  38. @glennfeige2909 on April 20, 2025 at 3:16 pm

I have my fridge and freezer running 24hrs a day off this exact inverter and the rest runs off my 12 volt 3000 watt multi 2. fridge and freezer in summer with up to 50 degrees Celsius pulls from 40 – 185 watts. going to add two more freezers for off grid meat storage this coming summer.

  39. @ctrlaltdebug on April 20, 2025 at 3:17 pm

If you have multiple paralleled inverters, is it possible to turn off some of them when the load is low, to reduce idle power draw?

  40. @KevinHollins-i6z on April 20, 2025 at 3:18 pm

Hello will can you use an inverter and a generator on the same power point so I don’t have to swap my tv and Starlink to a different power point I live on a boat I have separate circuit for shore power/generator

  41. @krzcho on April 20, 2025 at 3:18 pm

Is it possible to use two of them connected to obtain 2000W?

  42. @MikesGarageRoute66 on April 20, 2025 at 3:19 pm

I just bought a Vicron Phoenix 1200VA and have a question on grounding. On the Victron there is an internal jumper to change it from floating neutral to bonded neutral. Since this will be in my garage that already has power and a panel I am confused on how to ground it. Do I leave it in neutral floating configuration and connect the ground to my panel ground (two ground rods 10 feet apart) or do I bond the neutral on my Victron internally and use a separate earth ground therefore isolating it from the rest of my garage? I know from NEC code there should be only one neutral ground bond so that is where I am confused. My inverter and mini solar setup will never be connected to the grid.

  43. @CZAR61211 on April 20, 2025 at 3:21 pm

Can I connect the 12/1200 inverter to a circuit breaker load center to run a small workshop that has some led lights, and some small equipment? I have the 5-15 plug version

  44. @kentpachi143 on April 20, 2025 at 3:21 pm

no offense but if you are just gonna run lights and a starlink, a 12v car socket could do the wonders.
you dont even need to spend a money on inverters if its just a small load, hell im even using 12v to power my fridge.

  45. @viyusavery248 on April 20, 2025 at 3:22 pm
