Great reviews, it just suprises me that none of these are top end products. Nearly eveyone has a car and even more people have a phone, why isn’t there sonthing well put together out there. I find it hard to undestand why someone pays top dollar for an iphone or Samsung and then puts it in a cheap plastic holder?
Surely there’s a massive untapped market here?
I think what kind of holder you choose will depend on where you like to have the phone.
I’m looking for a car phone holder to use my phone as a dashcam.
I would like to get one… i don’t like the idea of my phone in direct sunlight though.

The one on dash tilted on its side how was holding up when taking sharp or fast turns?
These are some alright phone holders..lol and I appreciate your effort for "testing" them out.. there all bulky and takes up space.. I think people want to look for slick, slim easy to use preferably magnet.. that doesn’t need to use vent.
Whats up , people in utube land don’t use phone cases ? All charging mounts will charge without a case, try otterbox case then what …..
What I don’t like about windshield & dashboard mobile holders is that in a sunny day, your phone will heat up like a steam iron.
I’ve always use iottie. I’ve always had a good experience with this phone holder. I remember one time a piece broke off due to my mishandling and I emailed iottie and the lady helping was so helpful and ended up sending me a free replacement.
I just get a cheap air vent magnet mount. Does the job and looks sleek.
I’ve had the Loncaster for at least five years and still going. The only problem is placement on dash is limited and if it is hot out “Texas summer “ your phone can get overheated.

I own the Ainope and it’s awesome, the only thing I wish was different is that it was made out of metal or something sturdier them plastic. But nonetheless it’s awesome

Please test with small breaks, the mobile should not come out falling, this is the real test.
Anybody has experiences with how they hold up long term? I now need a new one because the one I yoinked from my mom (because she hadn’t been using it for a year or two) now gave up after being used for a little more than half a year. It was a windshield mounted one and the silicone suction part became just too loose after moving to warmer climate (European standards) and driving up-n-down the mountains it started to always come loose in higher altitudes. Don’t know if it is general suction type mounts’ problem but something to consider with those ones.
I want to use my old phone as my dash cam…what windshield mount would be best

Lol I broke my vents putting these things in be careful alot of these phone holders can’t hold with a heavy case BTW be careful find one for heavy cases

I am watching for to see which one was the dash mounted that can be vertical & horizontal for directions while traveling in my camry. Almost done with the video…we will see which one works.
my last phone holder melted in the Houston heat. LOL. I should have complained and gotten a replacement.
In my experience none of these are a permanent solution. which one lasts over a year?

Would love to know how they handle hot temps. I live in Florida and I bought a suction one from Amazon and it didn’t last 6 months and I’m really concerned about using adhesive on dash and damaging my vents with the vent ones

Hi FR, I am a UK viewer of this video, which is very helpful, though I don’t think all the models you tested are available in the UK. I dislike windscreen mounted holders, as the decrease the viewing area of the screen. Also, I think dash mounted holders should be positioned, so that you just need to glance to see, rather than move your head too much. But thanks again for the reviews Terry Davis

I have a vent mount but when I attach it my vent drops down. Is that ok or does that mean it’s too heavy
Seems the vent ones would suck for a million reasons. Image being too hot or too cold and the phone is blocking the air . But I have a curved dash , which weeds most out . May try windshield mount . But I live in the mountains with curvy , bumpy roads and I have a big heavy phone . Hopefully I find something 😢

Thanks for putting this together. For me, the vent type is a no-no. From December to March I ride with the heater on and that could really damage the cell phone.

A side note: always clean the spot where you going to stick it with rubbing alcohol to get rid of dust and oils to help it really stick to the spot. You’re welcome. 😁
In many places windshield mounts are illegal as you are not allowed to block any of the drivers view. Be careful about those mounts as the cops can fine you….
