I have a mini PC at home, online 24/7 365. So I just set a remoter Desktop in that PC.
Using Chrome Remote Desktop, or free version of Anydesk.
And access that PC from anywhere, then use the browser in that PC to access my Home Assistant.

Two-step indeed. but it’s free and easy to setup

Great overview – thanks! Would love to see some Unify Dream Machine specific setups… I’m struggling with network configs and promox + HA… Probably a simple fix, but a walkthrough of your setup would be great. Love the videos and clarity you provide!

There’s another way … if you have a reverse proxy then you can use a (sub)domain to access HA that way.

And an addition to your #2, you can enable 2 factor authentication, but only when you log in when you’re not in your local network.
That works for all non LAN connection and is a good thing to have for that extra layer of security. But at home you get straight in

Hi. Maybe can someone help me.
I have HA Setup on a remote Server hosted by a friend of mine with the offical iso. The manual installation of HA core on ubuntu didnt worked somehow so it tried the iso.
To be able to see my solar inverter and stuff I need to setup a VPN Connection to my fritzbox/lan.

How do i configure this in HA?
all the guides I have found are for when you want to connect to your HA remotely.
but first i have to get the connection to my fritzbox and my local network.
