one thing I’d say is an interesting application of engineering to the medical field is ‘automated’ medical testing, which is basically where you have lots of robots and machines testing patient samples (kind of like how a factory works). there’s a company in the state of Tennessee that called Pathgroup that does this kind of thing. If i’m not mistaken, they test upwards of 20 thousand patient samples per day (patient samples can be from blood, regular tissue samples, or even urine). the facility I went to even has their own medical staff to distribute and double check the accuracy of the test results. It’s a surprisingly complex operation and is so large that it requires almost constant maintenance simply due to the large number of machines that are there.

But where do you go or who do you see, if you want somebody to create a prototype of your medical invention idea?

I’m interested in learning more about several of these innovations, so I can write about them.
I’d like to increase awareness to the general public, possibly even investors.
