@awaytogether I recently watched one of your videos and Nik mentions his favorite backpack, but he also mentions a different one that he would recommend for most people. I’ve been binging your videos but I can’t find the one I’m looking for. Can you share the link to that video please? 🙏 thanks!!
Thanks for the video!
Lol. Pounds, ounces and inches. Wtf are they.
There has never been a confirmed case of juice jacking occurring in all the years since mainstream media started fearmongering about it.
02:03 これ欲しい! けど日本では売ってないかもしれない。
There are many bs videos on these subjects on the net. This channel is definately the opposite. great source of information. Thanks !
Love your travel video’s/ once again THANK YOU!
I really like you guys and love your channel but this amazon trinkets review is fairly new. My suggestion is to not recommend products below 4.5 rating unless you have tested it extensively.
-also to differentiate your channel, check the review section and pull key summaries from the 1 star and 3 star sections especially if the % is higher than 5% for 1 star or 10% for 3 star. There is a lot of signal in the 1 and 3 star reviews and that would boost your channel greatly imO.
I would not recommend the solid state battery or the matador TSA bottles – if you highlight them, at least throw in a disclaimer that its not well reviewed but you havent encountered much issues yet, that would be great for your channel to build trust with viewers; there is a lot of signal in the 1 and 3 star ratings for those 2 products.
I did buy the roost stand based on your review so keep up the great work!
Love these new solid state batteries, but we all know that airline staff won’t care about the makeup of the battery if they are being strict about it.
$42 for some squeezy bottles 😭
I have carried the robivon A8 for 5 years it has a lot more function it’s not quite as waterproof but fanabilis in the upgraded one has the USBC which mine does not and more magnets
best nail cutter is actually Edjy…
hotel mystery soap… come on !
oz & inch…
welcome in the metric world, oups you don’t fit
The A3 is good light by RovyVon, but their best in that size category is their A8. You get the same size battery with the same lumens with the magnetic base and waterproofness along with USB-C charging. Yet, you also get three side lights. A UV, a white light with two levels of brightness and a red light that is solid and with strobe. It also weighs less than the A3. It is great for travels and is the best of keychain flashlights.
YES to binder clips! I’ve been doing that for awhile and I always use them for something. Closing bags, closing gaps in curtains, covering razor blades, hanging stuff… so many uses. I take different sizes too.
FYI The mini luggage scale isn’t available on Amazon
Great finds Nik. Ordering some now. Thank You!
Solid state batteries? The truth is, that the former Li batteries have disappeared from the market. For years, the alternative is LiFePO4, and also standard for e.g. Powerbanks or electric vehicles. The horror stories of exploding batteries are history.
The "data blockers" suggest a special mechanism which filters the data. But in reality, USB has four connections, two for power and two for data. If you make an adapter, where the data connections simply are not wired, you get something like this product. If you buy a dedicated charger cable, which is cheaper than those who allow data transfer, you got it. And I assume, that in cheap USB chargers, the cables which come with them are only two-wired. You can simply check this by trying out.
You cannot buy an eSIM, your phone must already contain one. If it does, there are a lot of companies offering good conditions, and it is worth a little bit of research.
Great video but man most of the items you suggested are way to expensive for someone on a budget. Even the toiletry flat oak was very expensive. Please consider recommending items that are $25 or less
Love your videos but Amazon is unethical, treats its employees like utter crap, and Jeff Bezos and co doesn’t need anymore dollars. You should focus more on the vendors and direct people to purchase from their websites.
If you plug in with the charger cube you likely already bring with you instead of directly into a USB port, you don’t need USB data blockers. one less thing to carry, purchase, or lose. OTOH, it’s a great backup if you are prone to losing your cube.
Thanks Nik for this video and some useful recommendations. Just bought the Roost via your channel and already wonder how I’ve done without. Lightweight, very stable and flexible! Question about the toiletries bag: do you transfer your toothpaste ( a liquid per TSA and EU regs) and other gels/liquids to it after passing Security?
Re android/iOS: I’m a healthcare professional: everything practice-based is Apple but I prefer Android for personal use. Doubt you need to hire an Android user: techies are great researchers. I agree with suggestions that you highlight occasional Android-friendly options. You
likely consider user demographics as well as your own preference when recommending tech products. Please, though, remember that, even if small by percentage, you have older viewer and non-US viewer groups with sufficient
discretionary income that drives them
here. Per ongoing demo studies, these groups prefer Android. Thanks again for your channel.
Great ideas guys! Thanks again!
Another great video. Thanks!
6:20 Keep in mind all that these bottles contains materials labeled as dangerous according to P65. Business prefer to just warn you instead of using safer materials.
Also, can you please complement the measures shown with metric? That will bring more people to your channel.
I totally approve the Phillips razor, it’s a little bulky in my Aer Dopp Kit 2 but totally worth it, i only have safe and clean shaves with each use, and the blades, although expensive, can last a lot of time.
Why did you recommend the bulkier and heavier 2834 version Oneblade instead of the lighter 4631 version?
100% agree with the Logitech mouse. For easy stuff is awesome, but it also has a ton of options you can tinker with, and customize it the way you like. It’s small, it charges via USB-C (though, fully charged, you can even work every day and it won’t go out until several weeks later), and if your computer doesn’t have Bluetooth, you can use a Logitech adapter and use it that way. Also, you can switch between 3 devices (say your laptop, your desktop, your phone, your gaming console, your tablet, even your TV!).
About the keyboard, I don’t like the Apple option, but it is one of the lightest out there. But in my case, having the keypad on the right of my laptop keyboard is a must. For that, I still don’t understand why Apple doesn’t add them to the bigger Pro laptops, but I’m good with my current 15-inch business laptop. A bit heavy, but not enough to break my back or trigger airlines.
Also, every time you show that laptop stand… I seriously need one. It could be the difference between overheating my laptop to death, or for it to breathe normally.
Where do I find an Amazon link for the products you mentioned
Verizon offers talk data and text with their above unlimited plan now. So that part was misleading.
Is there a reason the links always go to Amazon GERMANY? As a US resident, I’m curious
If you will travel to China, you cannot bring powerbank unless it has CCC certified…
The RovyVon A3 Flashlight is PHENOMENAL! Appreciate the recomendation.
Another good video. However, it would be nice if you wouldn’t assume that all your subscribers are Apple users. Show Android people some love, too. Thanks for the great content.
That is the flashlight I had in my backpack when walking the Camino de Santiago and the power went out in Spain in April. The lowest brightness was useful when staying in Albergues to not disturb other travelers at night. A great tiny flashlight that stays in my purse daily!
Never thought about binder clips for travels. These get on my packing list.
Thank you! ❤
Great list. I appreciate your videos!!
Appreciate the video but many of the items here are not listed for Prime Day. Kind of a click bait title. Be honest with your viewers please.
Dont forget:
A few paper clips, small plastic bag (ziplocks), pen (that works), tiny sewing kit, tiny first aid kit, tiny bottle of bug spray, MOLE SKIN (blistered feet), eye glasses repair kit (tiny, very helpful), super glue (tiny tube).
For China make sure the power bank has the triple c. ccc otherwise you will have to mail the power bank back to your home country.
eSim = most expensive data you can get.
Get a plan with US Mobile. Roaming is free (I’ve used all over Europe and now Africa.
Barring that, get a local sim, will be half the cost of an eSim. Windtre was the best I found in Italy (ironically you can see them in the video lol).
A small carbon monoxide detector is something that can be important, especially if you’re staying in a private rental. Better to be safe than sorry
